Fantastic chocolaterie with tours, icecream,
And all the chocolate. We read through the history of chocolate making, bought some chocolate bars, and savored the mocha chocolate cream.
Everything is single origin and made in house. It’s the perfect place to get an authentic souvenir from Barbados.

This tour was worth every penny! Purchased these tour tickets after seeing Agapey store on Google maps and checking their website. We were in Barbados the week before our scheduled tour and stopped in for an iced coffee and to check the place out. It was small and we could see the entire factory through the windows. It was small so we left concerned about the tour. We could not have been more wrong! When we arrived the next week we had a table set up for a small group of 12. The owner is an engineer by trade and really educated us on both chocolates and the process of converting cocoa beans to different types of chocolates. Step-by-step explanation of every step while sampling product at each step to experience how it changes at each stage. Also had samples from roasted cocoa beans to finished products. Highly recommend this tour of you are in Barbados! And the chocolate is FANTASTIC too! We bought a bunch to take home with us.

Pleasantly surprised by the experience. Was great to see the history and the full process of how chocolate is made. Bonus that we also got to sample the chocolate at each processing stage. The host was very knowledgeable and charismatic. The group was intimate, only 5 of us in total. He dedicated all of his time to us.
The store make their own chocolate and ice cream which is delicious. The workers hand wrap each bar themselves, there is no machine in place for that, which I found incredible. I recommend stopping by, if not for the tour then at least for a bar of pure chocolate.

On my recent visit to this chocolate factory not much was happening in terms of chocolates being made as there's a viewing window, but more to relax while having an ice-cream snack, as there's seating inside...I'm guessing only if there's a tour booked you'd have the opportunity to witness the process.
Located in historic Bridgetown on Hincks Street...a nice leisure walk from the cruise ship port would bring you to the factory and retail shop.

Stopped in for ice cream. Non-dairy coconut based. I had chocolate coconut and my wife had the mocha. Coffee bean flakes in her mocha...fantastic. Pieces of coconut meat in mine...wow! Great!
