We had an outstanding meal for a group of 19 of us celebrating my 60th. The Sunday buffet is of the very highest standard with virtually anything you could require. The service was faultless and all though not cheap it left 19 very happy people after with great memories- definitely a place to return too and good that they welcome not just residents of the hotel

We love this place. Not a resident but occasional visitor. Service superb. We were there for Italian evening. The quality and range of food was just excellent. Difficult to do justice to here. From fresh/chilled fish including king crab and ceviche, to truffle pasta, to mahi mahi on grill, veal chop, sorbet, range of desserts. Back next week for Caribbean evening.

I have rarely experienced such a shocking disregard for basic hygiene and cleanliness standards in a restaurant of this calibre. The entire dining area resembled something out of a Hitchcock film, with birds constantly swooping through the restaurant, landing on buffet tables, helping themselves to food, and even perching directly on the dessert cart. What was most alarming, however, was the condition of the seating. Many of the seat covers were literally covered in bird droppings, not the occasional mark but extensive, obvious bird faeces that had clearly accumulated over time. Guests were expected to sit, eat, and enjoy a supposedly luxury dining experience surrounded by conditions that were both unpleasant and unhygienic. What makes this even more unacceptable is that these issues were brought directly to the attention of hotel management, yet very little appeared to be done. Despite concerns being raised, birds continued to roam freely around food service areas, land on the dessert trolley, and contaminate guest seating. At a property with Sandy Lane’s reputation, one would expect immediate action to protect both guests and food hygiene standards. Instead, there seemed to be a remarkable level of indifference to what was unfolding in plain sight. The combination of birds contaminating food areas, seat covers covered in bird droppings, and management’s failure to take meaningful action made for an experience that was deeply disappointing and frankly unacceptable. I would not return and could not recommend the restaurant to anyone expecting the standards associated with a five-star establishment.
