First time Polo attendee and what a place to break one’s duck! Tickets purchased on arrival, couple of glasses of chilled rose and mini savoury snacks enjoyed whilst the gee gees thundered about the paddock masterfully steered by the preux chevaliers. Rules easy to understand, for us not the players, who seemed cognisant of requirements. Great fun!

February 2026. My cousin from Alabama decided we should visit the polo club in Holders hill. It was $20 bbd per person and we were there early but missed out on a table under the canopy by seconds.
They had great food fried samosas and small fish cakes and a wide selection of sandwiches and cakes.
You had to get tickets for drinks at the door in increments of $10 bbd and $20 bbd. The bar scene was chaos. Not enough staff and locals who got served as soon as they came up to the bar. It reminded me of my days at the lodge school going to the canteen when everyone came up to the counter without makinga queue. Aside from that it was a great place to mingle.

Great way to spend a day with friends. A lot of tournaments. Nice commentary.

Lot if fun but fewer Bajans came by to have a good time. Used to be when Barbadians from every strata would watch a chukka finale. The current economy sliced a huge chunk of sponsorship, no idea what their management is doing to fill the gap? Expert commentary from Jonathan Simpson whose humor would make Richard Pryor blush yet nary a bad word? A grand old time had by all! Especially when Alan Sheppard and his Red Piano boogies for patrons!
