Be on the Beach

Great place for digital nomads and beach lovers! The studio was fully furnished and right on the beach. I was just a few steps away from a swim in warm, turquoise water during my work breaks. I stayed for two months (March-April) and felt right at home. I was far enough from the crowds to have a relaxing and peaceful stay, yet close enough to walk downtown to fetch food and visit Plage du Bourg. The bus stops right at the entrance to the property. There is also plenty of parking space if you bring a car. There is a fruit stand and a japanese restaurant across the street. Wifi was fast enough for working, though it had trouble keeping the phone or TV connected. My laptop stayed connected the entire time, but the phone and TV kept getting disconnected every ten minutes. I recommend bringing an HDMI cable. It was easier to watch Netflix by connecting my laptop to the TV. I love all the coconut trees surrounding the property. It is easy to walk around them if you are afraid of falling coconuts. I enjoyed collecting the coconuts and bowling with them. The spacious studio is equipped with everything I needed for a long stay: fast Starlink wifi, AC, kitchen, couch, TV, bed, ironing board, safe, alarm system, closet, outdoor furniture, space to move and stretch, indoor shower with hot water and good pressure, outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand. They even brought me an extra pillow and a rug, upon request. The only thing I missed was an oven for baking, but there are several bakeries around to make up for it. The staff were friendly and responsive during emergencies, like when the internet disconnected one day, or when the electricity went out one night. Larissa, my main point of contact, answered all my texts on WhatsApp and came to replace sheets and towels every week. The sargassum seaweed really clogs the beach at the end of April, but there's not much the owner can do. There was a fence in the ocean to keep the seaweed out but it didn't work. The seaweed still got to the shore. Overall, I recommend staying at Be On the Beach. It was fantastic being able to look out the window and see the beach from the kitchen table where I worked.

Pleasant setting but several issues We stayed two nights at Be On The Beach in Sainte-Anne. The location is indeed very pleasant, right on the beach, and the setting is nice. However, it's important to be aware that the accommodation is very basic: they are simple mobile homes, adequate for sleeping but without any particular amenities. A much more worrying point concerns safety. The site is surrounded by numerous coconut trees, with coconuts falling regularly. This is genuinely dangerous, especially when traveling with children. A falling coconut can cause serious injuries, and nothing seems to be in place to prevent this risk. Another unpleasant surprise: while washing up, two glasses accidentally broke, and we were asked to pay €8 per glass. Charging for this type of breakage at this price, when the accommodation is already quite expensive, is difficult to understand and leaves a bad impression.
