Wonderful hosts in a perfect location - we were able to walk to restaurants, variety stores, and the beach, all within 10-15 minutes. George Washington House and duty free area of downtown Barbados were about 20 minutes' walk. Shawn provided taxi service, meeting us at the airport and giving local tips on the drive for a fare less than a taxi. He was immediately responsive to any questions. Efficiency/studio apt (#3) was clean, well appointed with kitchen, private bath, cupboard/closet, coffee machine, toaster, microwave. Bath was very modern. Bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. Really terrific spot!

Sean was an amazing and accommodating host. I loved the fact that his building was amongst the locals and my best friend and I (two females) felt so safe and cozy. His place is my first and only choice to lodge at when it’s available. Another positive is that as you leave his complex and walk towards the beach there are several “local” places to try (cutter sandwiches, a nice little bar) and you’re just a few blocks from the main road and bus stops are close.

This location was absolutely great for what we went to Barbados for. I have wanted to go to Barbados for over around 3 decades. My husband and I was able to spend alone time, grow together in our marriage, invest in our vision together, and see the many wonders of Barbados. Mr. Sean (apartment owner) elevated our experience there. He provided taxi service, took us to the grocery store before going to the apartment, provided an extensive tour around the island, answered our many questions, and was so kind. The apartment was clean and secure. We will totally return to this apartment. We enjoyed being where the locals live at. Everyone was friendly. We felt safe. The neighborhood was quiet. Here are things that we learned: *Things can be paid for in Barbadian money or US dollars. *There is a government levy that needs to be paid, make sure that whoever you book the apartment to shares this info with you. *Please be mindful that the water does run on a solar structure different than what an Americans are used to (meaning you may want to take your showers before the sun goes down or comes up) because the water could be cold. We did let Mr. Sean know because we thought something was wrong, and he made sure that it was turned on at night for us. *Be careful to not lock the bedroom door or you will need to call Mr. Sean for that as well (lol). *The airconditioning is really nice at night in the bedroom. The rest of the house is not airconditioned, but it was so refreshing with the blinds and fan. We normally hung out in the house until the afternoon. We didn't experience mosquitos until our last day being there. We were there for 7 nights. *It was so relaxing to be there and in the yard. There is landscaping which is nice. The back yard does have clothes lines for your freshly washed or rinsed clothes after going to the beach. There is even some on the back porch so that your clothes won't get wet in case it rains. *They don't normally provide wash clothes, but if you ask Mr. Sean, he may have some available for you to use. *Mr. Sean always has great customer service and an answer for it all. *The only thing that I don't think that can be changed quickly and easily is that the bed and pillows are really hard, but that wouldn't stop me from coming back again. I just realized that the only pic that I took of the home was a memoriable moment of washing dishes and gazing outside the window at the amazing flowers. I wish washing dishes at my home gave me the same feeling. LOL
