visited this supermarket recently and unfortunately had a disappointing customer service experience.
There was a small billing mistake where an item needed to be placed on a separate receipt. It was an honest accident, and we explained that right away. However, the cashier appeared visibly frustrated and made the situation feel uncomfortable, even though the store was not busy.
Refunds or receipt corrections are a normal part of retail, and while I understand that it may require approval, the attitude and body language made it seem like we were causing a major inconvenience.
In the end, the issue was resolved, but the experience left us feeling unwelcome. I hope the staff can work on maintaining a more professional and friendly approach when handling simple adjustments like this.

Strange place for me! Mainly for one reason, they needed ID for any payment we tried to do and made out that this is standard practice on the island. It’s really not, we’ve been here 16 days and not once have we had this strange practice. ApplePay on a phone or watch, they needed ID, pay by card, they needed ID. Not sure how ID could even work as your name doesn’t appear in ApplePay on your cards. They also then asked for our mobile number on the receipt, again, feels super dodgy to me! In future I would just go to the massive supermarket the Epicurean Fine Foods & Pharmacy down the road. That is a far superior supermarket with literally everything you could ever want and no weird checkout issues. This place is more like a corner shop in the UK which is hit or miss if you find what you need. The lady behind the deli was lovely, but that’s really the only plus for me. Save your troubles and drive one more minute to the Epicurean Fine Foods which is more like a Tesco in the UK or Walmarts in the USA.

Billy's Food Mart is strategically located on the Friar's Hill Road in the vicinity (adjacent to) the Friar's Hill Service station and the increasing number of businesses not decentralizing to this area just outside the city limits. Despite the name it is more of a Supermarket due to recent expansion and modernization. The availability of specialty items mainly purchased at whole quantities is one of the main selling points.
Recently there has been an addition of a Deli where prepared food items can be purchased along with the addition of small hardware and Auto care products as part of the offering. Additional parking facilities were also a part of the expansion. The presence of other businesses on the same compound makes it almost like a strip mall.
The customer service is quite good and the staff very helpful. The shopping experience is quite pleasant all in an aesthetically pleasing environment.
I would recommend Billy's Food Mart to anyone wishing to pick up items not normally available elsewhere, a good place for party supplies and other items.

Located on Frairs Hill road just a quarter mile from Wood Mall. Local breakfast and lunch served everyday. Full service supermarket, great place for shopping. Even better place to pop in and purchase items needed before heading home.
