Excellent location between Oistins and the Gap. The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful, housekeeping was very good, the rooms were well stocked and the staff quickly brought you anything that might be missing. Access to the beach was a huge plus, and the pool area had lots of chairs and loungers. I recommend staying here for the cleanliness, location and price. If the hotel is booked online, i recommend emailing them and asking if anything is available, it worked for me! Thanks Harriett!

Great room. WiFi excellent. Hotel was clean and tidy. Small beach attached to hotel was great. Location was good for Oistins. . Staff at hotel were mostly disinterested and the male on reception downright rude.Dined in restaurant twice food was good.Overall enjoyed stay and would go back in the future.

A real excellent hotel, staff and location. Rated as a 3 star but is well beyond this. Direct access to best beach in the area (in my humble opion) clear sands no sargasum. Will definitely return, big shout and thanks to Kaineal for taking care of our needs, drinks, lunches which were excellent, rooms were cleaned and serviced impeccably, front of house staff above and beyond 🌟

Not great service unless you tip. I have just returned, December 25. The room had a roach. Loud guests next door. They refused to move me. I requested it three times. This is a self-catering establishment with a bar and shop. We were given gluten-free; they provided good pasta, that's it. Go to Massey's supermarket; either use the local bus or Uber. It was an okay holiday; I preferred the beach at Sea Breeze, and the beds were far more luxurious. Staff unless you tip are not friendly.

What can I say besides take the complaints with a grain of sea salt! I want to thank the staff at Butterfly Beach Hotel for excellent and exemplary services. I truly believe that you get what you give. A simple "good day" "how are you today?" really tempers a conversation as opposed to an all out confrontational approach. I've experienced and witnessed it and I recommend taking a moment to address people kindly. I travelled with my mother for 4 weeks. From our arrival, everything was excellent. Lea checked us in with a friendly, informative, efficient manner. She proved to be incredibly helpful for the duration and she's just lovely, sweet and funny! We stayed in a one bedroom room. Cleanliness is everything to us believe me! Upon entering we realized the cleanliness. We didn't see one bug nor did I acquire any bites. Mobility access ramps / the elevator in our building were all working perfectly. The room itself is big. The kitchen includes a full size fridge, microwave, 4 burner stove w/ oven, kettle & coffee machine. There is lots of storage space and cupboards. We self catered and found the kitchen facilities very user friendly. A pull out sofa bed, smart tv, dining room table and chairs make up the first room. The bedroom is huge w/ a king bed, two end tables with electrical outlets on the lamp base. Each room is with an individual AC unit which is a huge score for us! The bathroom includes a walk in shower and good storage. The water pressure is fantastic and the hot water never ran out once! The balcony faces west w/ a side sea view overlooking the long rectangular pool. Two Muskoka chairs and a table with 4 chairs made it very comfortable to watch the sunset. It's a very large terrace. Housekeeping is a daily service if you wish. It's very simple to speak directly with the staff to note your requirements. Beach towels are available at the front desk. Use the hamper when exchanging please!! Having vacationed in Barbados since 1975,I am rather familiar with the location. I quickly realized how perfect the location is for us personally. We rent a car (deal breaker / game changer) and we are very comfortable parking in the hotel's parking lot. I never went without getting a spot. Our days were spent typically at the pool or Pebbles Beach. There was not one day that I couldn't get chairs around either the main pool or on the side with the whirlpool tubs. We are not early risers. I would venture down around 10/10:30am and always got loungers and an umbrella. I would take what was available and if I wanted to move once others left, I moved! On my first day I snagged the terrace area by the pool and that was around noon! So, take the grievances with this in mind! You will find lounge chairs. They may not be your preferred location but you will be fine as there's really no bad spot! The restaurant staff we had contact with were very nice. We didn't dine but we did enjoy the occasional adult beverage. Service was efficient and friendly. I think to write a review accusing staff of only serving people who tip, is disgusting. It tells me all I need to know about content of character. Perhaps try tipping. Bajans are some of the most genteel, reserved, kind people I've encountered on my travels over the decades. They're not excitable and personally, I respect that very much. The property is smaller, which we love! Nothing is far away. The setting is absolutely stunning with a beach on each side. There were lounge chairs on the beach on the whirlpool side. Walking the beach is my favourite thing to do. Not competing with loads of people on the beach is superb! The Caribbean Sea views, shades of turquoise, the swaying palms and brilliant white sands never fails to amaze me! I've traveled to some spectacular places including Tahiti, Cook Islands as well as 90% of the Caribbean islands. Barbados is top notch and the place we have decided to escape the Canadian winters. Finally, a huge thank you to Harriet in reservations. Words cannot express our gratitude to her for assisting with rebooking 6 weeks next January 2027!
