They force you to buy insurance at $15-20 per day even if you say you have credit card coverage. They'll ask for proof. If you must rent from them, print out the statement from your VISA or MC car insurance with coverage in Barbados. There's a ton of hidden fees, so best to look elsewhere.

I am never using Europcar rental/ANSA Rentals again! I had an emergency on the day that I was returning my rental car to Grantley Adams Airport in Barbados, was late for my flight and returned the car without refilling the tank. I did not read the area of the contract specifying the cost for returning a car unfilled - that is completely my fault - but expected to pay more than the going rate for gas plus a fee for someone to go to the gas station. ****Europcar billed me an additional US$274 for gas****. This is absolutely ridiculous. They are taking advantage of people who are stuck. I believe customer service quality shows where there are challenges faced by the customer, and Ansa/Europcar have failed miserably!!!!

Will not recommend you go with them. Any other rental company in the country is better. Very incompetent. Rented over 50 cars worldwide with different companies and this by far is the worst. Don’t let the rates fool you

Worst car hire company I have ever dealt with, they scammed me on return and took $700 for scratches I have visibly taken by phone and they did not accept it, they kept holding me up as much as they could because they knew my flight is about to be departured and I had to go. AVOID !
