A short hike, and a bit overgrown, but the views from up top at the Keith Laurie Memorial Cross make it worth it! We hiked up from Chalky Mount Village - I believe there is a different route.

Hiked the trail in May 2025. Conditions were dry. The trail is still trafficked but not maintained, there is overgrowth in places but very easy to follow. You can download All Trails to get the map of the area and assistance with staying on the trail. The picture hole is a bit of a downhill walk from the cross at the top. We did the loop, which took us through some villages. It was road walking at that point but still nice to experience the local community. Would rate it easy/moderate it’s just the heat & direct sun that make it challenging

Breathtaking scenery, exceptionally clean air and so windy and cool. This is certainly a hidden jewel in the Caribbean. An unforgettable experience indeed. The hike is relatively easy. Just take it slow and enjoy every inch, you will not regret.

Well worth the trek to this spot! Recommend a good GPS system to get you out there and don't be alarmed by the relative "residential" feel to the area as the trail begins right by the green house at the end of the road. The trail is not clearly marked in my opinion, nevertheless, follow the path for beautiful rocky outcroppings and gorgeous views of the east coast of Barbados !

The hike is manageable also with kids if you help a bit. Take water and sun care!
