My first meal on the island! I came here as soon as I arrived in Barbados because I was having a serious hankering for flying fish cutters. The fish was fried to a perfect crisp and was moist and well seasoned. The bread was pillowy and allowed the flavor of the fish to shine through. The macaroni pie was nice and hearty. The Bajan fish cakes were crunchy and tasty. Service was cordial and hospitable. I had texted the ladies when I boarded my flight to Barbados, and they were ready to pamper me with all the delicious food I had been looking forward to. The outdoor seating is perfect. Nothing beats sitting under an almond tree, listening to the songs of tropical birds, and feasting on such tasty food served with so much love!

Cutter sandwich with a side of mac & cheese. This mac & cheese is no joke! Very yummy. Server was awesome, sweet and helpful, the kind that makes your dining experience. And awesome food, just awesome! The restaurant, quaint isn't just a word, it's an experience, small, cozy. Staff's energy was infectious, singing, smiling, and all the good vibes. Price, well, some might say a bit steep but worth every penny. Resort's lack of bajan food options led us to this gem just down the road, and we couldn't be happier we took that walk. They serve roti on Saturdays, but they made an exception for us so we could have for dinner.

We visited Cutters of Barbados and while the setting is lovely, I have to be honest about the food versus the price.
The fishcakes were BDS40 for 6, which felt very overpriced for what was served. They were average in taste, nothing particularly memorable, and definitely not worth BDS6 each when a typical fishcake on the island is around BDS1.
The cutters were also disappointing. A simple cold salt bread ,a slice of tomatoe and limp lettuce with a slice of chicken which was quite dry and lacking flavour. Nothing stood out, especially compared to what you can get from local shacks, where the food is often fresher, more flavourful, and far better value.
It does feel like prices are being pushed up because of the proximity to The Crane Resort and the tourist traffic. But pricing like this affects locals too, and it’s hard to justify when the quality doesn’t match.
Overall, a nice spot in terms of location and atmosphere, but the food needs to match the price point.
We paid bds370 for 4 people.

We loved this little restaurant- just a short walk- across from The Crane Resort. Add this on your to do list and eat here! The Staff were welcoming, super nice and offered rum punch upon arrival! My kind of spot! It was locally owned. The food was fresh and delicious - prepared to order right there in an open kitchen space. The chef came to the table to provide details for the dinner options. Super clean restaurant. Very limited seating. Reservations are probably recommended.

The taste of the cutters is actually very very good. What just made us not give a high rating is the portions for the money.
The restaurant is close to crane so a bit of higher price is understandable but for a restaurant just on the street we expected a bit more for our money.
The staff is friendly and sitting under the tree has its moments.
