An absolute dream for anyone wanting to unplug and experience the jungle! The open-air treehouses are rustic but very comfortable, and walking across the rope bridges to get to your room makes you feel like you are in an adventure movie. The lack of room Wi-Fi is actually a blessing—it’s so peaceful falling asleep to the sounds of nature. The staff goes above and beyond, the food is fantastic, and having a waterfall right on the property is incredible. Don't miss out on their zip-line or taking the bikes down to Playa El Valle! Highly recommend for an adventurous getaway in Samana.

This place is truly a paradise for anyone who loves nature. Waking up to the sound of birds in the morning, experiencing life in a treehouse surrounded by lush greenery, enjoying authentic homemade food, breathtaking scenery, a beautiful beach, and an incredible zipline with unforgettable views, every moment felt magical.
What made the experience even more special was the people. Everyone working there was kind, humble, welcoming, and genuinely wonderful to be around. The owner herself is an incredibly warm and caring person who always makes sure every guest feels comfortable and has the best possible experience.
Our stay at Dominican Tree House Village was peaceful, unique, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and enjoy a truly special getaway.

My girlfriend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dominican Treehouse Village in Samaná, Dominican Republic, and it exceeded every expectation we had. If you're looking for a place to truly disconnect from the stress of everyday life and reconnect with nature, this is it.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family rather than guests. The heart of the resort is Aurea, the resort manager. She has a remarkable ability to make every guest feel personally welcomed and cared for. She genuinely treats everyone like family, going above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable. You can immediately tell how much she loves what she does.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Michael, who operates the resort's gift shop featuring beautiful artwork created by local artists. Even more impressive, a portion of every purchase goes directly toward supporting local schools. It's wonderful to see a business investing back into its community.
The volunteer staff—Marcos, Umberto, Willberto, and Jordan—each brought their own unique personalities and energy to the experience. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always eager to help. By the end of our stay, we were saying goodbye to friends instead of resort staff.
The food deserves special recognition. Every meal was absolutely incredible. Nearly everything is grown right on the property, including the fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices, so every meal is unbelievably fresh. The fish is caught locally each day, and when you place your dinner order in the morning, they often don't even know which fish you'll be eating until the fishermen return. It doesn't get fresher than that.
The accommodations are unlike anywhere else we've stayed. These are genuine treehouses built into the jungle, not hotel rooms designed to look like treehouses. There are no walls or windows, only curtains for privacy, allowing you to completely immerse yourself in the sounds of nature. Each treehouse has two egg-shaped hanging chairs overlooking the lush jungle and an incredibly comfortable bed protected by a mosquito net. We were pleasantly surprised that there were almost no bugs during our stay, aside from harmless tree snails that quietly wander around and don't bother anyone.
The entire property is spotless, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. It's one of the few places we've ever visited where you truly lose track of time.
The adventures available through the resort made the experience even more unforgettable. We rented an ATV and rode to a nearby beach with crystal-clear turquoise water and a beautiful river flowing into the ocean. We also completed the resort's 13-line zipline course, which was both thrilling and extremely well run. The guides made us feel completely safe and even recorded videos for us along the way.
One of the highlights of our trip was horseback riding high into the mountains to visit a local farmer who grows, harvests, and hand-processes cacao into chocolate entirely from his home without electricity. On the ride back, we stopped at a hidden waterfall where we were able to swim and even explore a cave tucked behind the cascading water. It felt like something straight out of a movie.
Dominican Treehouse Village is so much more than a place to stay—it's an experience you'll remember for years. Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, a vacation with friends, or even a corporate retreat, this resort can accommodate groups while still making every guest feel personally cared for.
We arrived expecting a vacation. We left feeling like we'd become part of a family.
I cannot recommend Dominican Treehouse Village highly enough. We will absolutely be back.

The place is amazing, right in the middle of the jungle, disconnected from everything, but still close enough to beaches and Samaná. The staff is kind and funny.
We had a problem with the toilet (it was just a broken string, easy to fix), we pointed out twice, no one fixed it. The common hot showers (only cold shower in the cabañas, that's ok, but it's not mentioned on the website) never worked for the 2 nights we spent there and we pointed out twice as well. On arrival the toilet looked like it has not been cleaned and toiletries were partially missing. Food quality can definitely be improved. I'm aware those are little details, but for 330 USD per night I expect little details to be included. I'm always happy to pay high price when it's worth it.
Great experience, but I wouldn't go back to pay that price for the service they offer.

Going to the Dominican Tree House Village was the exact trip we needed. Once we got checked in and in our room, we all felt a sense of rest like never before. So much so, we slept probably majority of the time there. Blame it on the rain and nature's white noise (I wish I could bring those sounds home). But our stay was great. Lodging was nice, beds were comfy, food was delicious, people we nice, zip lining was crazy fun, and so much more. Not being able to use our phones was another plus. We were able to disconnect from technology and connect with one another on a different level. So if you're looking for an escape or a place to retreat, this is it!
