This hotel is beautiful- I was not expecting that from the first impression outside, but I was pleasantly surprised! It has a kitchenette stocked with all the utensils and appliances (stove, refrigerator, microwave) needed to cook.
The restaurant’s food was good, except the vegetable soup, I suggested that they add coconut milk 😂, and there is a good variety of options on the menu. I really appreciated the fact that there was a vegetarian breakfast option!
The service was also excellent, the staff members were all very friendly. One staff member even let me take a few books from the bookshelf for my journey home because it was overcrowded!

Excellent location close to all St Lawrence Gap has to offer, also several excellent beaches. Rooms show a little wear, but have been updated. Pools and grounds are tropical and inviting. Staff is always available and helpful

Dover Beach Hotel is the best kept secret in Barbados. Staff were friendly and responsive. The location is right on the ocean with beautiful views. The surrounding area of St. Lawerence gap offers a bevy of restaurants, stores and local shops all within walking distance of Dover Beach Hotel. We walked around after dark with no problems. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. I like high thread count sheets and the bed linens at Dover Beach didn’t disappoint. The food at the hotel restaurant The Sea Grape was excellent and Keria, the bartender makes and excellent rum sour! I enjoyed both swimming pools as well.

We just got back from staying at this lovely hotel for 8 nights. The rooms were clean, the location is prime. The views are great if you are on the upper floor. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning is the quietest I have ever not heard! The wifi is a bit sketchy. The pool closes at 8:00 pm, which I found to be too early. The rooms have hangers and lots of drawers and surfaces to put your items on. There are not many plug ins; bring a cord or plugin with extra outlets. The restaurant has excellent food with all kinds of great choices at very reasonable prices. The service is great! The rooms do not have hair conditioner or skin conditioner; the market is close by to buy these items. The hairdryers are the basic tiny ones, I was glad I brought my own. The rooms do not have coffee pots however I was told I could have asked for one; they have a laundry room to use but I only found this out by hearing another person being told this. It would be helpful if these little details were posted somewhere! All of the staff was fabulous, helpful and welcoming except Charissa. I may be spelling her name wrong but since she didn't wear a tag, I am not sure. She was terrible from the get go and any time I asked for something she made me feel like I was bothering her. She seemed to go out of her way to be rude and unhelpful; and without getting into details actually went out of her way to cause us a problem. When I addressed this with other staff and management, they went out of their way to apologize and management gifted us a service for our trouble. I would stay here again, and do recommend this great, family owned hotel!
