Horrible experience. After waiting for 1 1/2 hour, seeing people coming after me and getting served I went up and asked what is taking so long and that’s when reception told me she didn’t put through my name and she forgot I was there. I left and only after she realized that I walked out she called to tell me that the doctor will is ready to see me and I wasn’t there. If you are sick and going there thinking you will feel better they made you feel worse. Unless you are known to the receptionist or the doctor don’t go to this place.

Had a recent scare with low blood pressure, and my trip to the Clinic was highly reassuring. Full workup [including EKG] by a very capable Nurse and Doctor was swift and reasonable cost. Ten minutes from the Gap and Dover Beach. Facilities were neat, clean, and seemingly adequate for emergency care, with a Pharmacy on site. As a frequent visitor to Barbados from the US, being used to the top-notch care that I get from my providers here, I rest far more comfortably knowing that this facility is available.

Had a wonderful experience at Elcourt clinic, when I fell sick with dengue fever in my holiday in Barbados. Care was quick and efficient- I visited twice and was in and out within the hour both times. Received care from two caring and competent doctors. I especially have to commend dr. Ince, who went above and beyond to help me and accommodate my care in the light of our further travel plans. Highly recommend this clinic!

Absolutely horrendous experience. I attended with my 5-year-old son who was in unbearable pain with an ear infection. Despite having a pre-booked appointment, we were left waiting for hours while he cried in pain the entire time. When we were finally seen, the doctor seemed to spend more time out of the room than in it. We were prescribed antibiotics, but the doctor also wanted to syringe my son's ears. Thankfully, I trusted my instincts and declined. When we returned to the UK, A&E confirmed that he had a perforated eardrum. Had his ears been syringed, it could have caused further damage. The whole experience was upsetting and stressful. Unfortunately, we were also left feeling unwelcome as British visitors. Whether this was intentional or not, the attitude and service we experienced gave us the impression that we were not particularly valued as patients. As a parent, seeing your child in so much pain and feeling that their care is not being taken seriously is heartbreaking. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this practice.

Canadian on vacation - unfortunately I got into a fight with out a sea urchin and lost. Incredibly grateful to have Elcourt clinic 500m from our accommodations. Went in to get the sea urchin spines out (as some were rather deep and painful) and after a short wait I was seen - a few lidocaine shots in my hand and a small scalpel and tweezer procedure - I was on my way. Asked to return in two days to make sure all was well. Susan, the front desk clerk is a wonderfully compassionate person who could see I was scared and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Something tells me this woman would be an asset in any setting! Dr. Robertson was lovely and took great care of me. It's an urgent care clinic - expect to wait - especially if someone else is experiencing a more serious medical condition BUT a little patience goes a long way and the people are great.
