This was my favorite beach to float on a raft at, minimal waves/tide to pull you out. At Carlisle, couldn't really float without being pulled outwards. Pack a lunch and some beers, there aren't vendors. Very quiet, calm beach. The locals must think so too, because the few people we saw were Bajan. Chartered boats would anchor here to make lunch for their patrons, because it is so calm and pretty. There's some shade to find along the shore, making it ideal for hot days. I visited this beach while beach hopping, and came back another day to spend a full day here. You can park on Gibbes Road, walk across the street and to the right, maybe less than a quarter mile, and there is an entry point. Not much to see snorkeling, more of a drink a beer and read a book kind of beach. Get yourself some cheap inflatables from Amazon and bring those on your trip - small to pack and very much worth it. I like the ones with float pillows on either end and netting in the middle. You can sit or lay on them a bunch of ways and they aren't bad to inflate.

I loved this now small beach. It was bigger before the hurricane hit the island in July 2024. Stunning exotic water and beach. No sunbeds or umbrellas.

Quiet beach, sandy. Little shade though. Entrance just after Southwinds (pictured)

You always see this said about a place. But this time it’s true - best beach on the island. If you’re looking for quiet, stunning beauty and sandy bottom.

Favourite beach! Why? Easy access (laneway south of Southwinds, and parking across on Gibbes Rd), perfect sand and water, no resorts, no crowds. Which also means no amenities so bring a picnic!
