The national park is beautiful, and the highlight of our visit was encountering wild Mona monkeys. We were fortunate to see them; they are incredibly friendly and approached us as if to say hello. That was definitely my favorite part of the experience.

Took a 1/2 day tour.. this was one of the stops.. just spectacular. Was an old volcano that made the lake which feeds to different rivers. Was 1 of the lucky ones to get to interact with the Mona Monkies Mother and son. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

A protected area/volanic crater with amazing wildlife in the surrounding rainforest.
You can feed wild monkeys for a tip to a local "monkey whisperer" who provides banana.
A local shopping area and bar close by.
We visited as part of an island tour.

Fantastic way to spend it afternoon. Park up top to get a ticket, I believe it was 10 Eastern Caribbean dollar, while you're up there go visit the welcome center and learn about grenada's history in the area. Behind the building behind the ticket booth is the toilet. Pass the toilet is a little 5-minute walk up to a really good photo op. Now mind you it is a little bit of a challenge it's muddy and of course it rained as soon as we started up the trail so it's going to be slippery so no flip flops. Go down the hill and your first left and that's the lake You could also park there down there but we decided to walk cuz it was a beautiful day. We looked out and we're there when one of the locals was given a tour and we saw the Moana monkeys. They're pretty easy to get a picture with them You got to bring some bananas cut up in little pieces. If no one's around pro tip, soon as you get past the place you're supposed to give the ticket to, no one ever took our ticket but we bought it because it was going to a good cause. The monkeys are right there on the right, no more than 20 or 30 feet past that little entrance to the lake on the right you'll find the monkeys in the tree waiting for you to feed them bananas. When you're done with that go down to the bottom where the lake is and look in the water you'll see koi fish. Also up by the visitor information center you'll see some souvenir spots. The one closest to the visitor center, see my picture, has a really good selection of souvenirs. I think she has better than the ones in town by the port. If you collect iron on stamps or magnets or postcards or shirts or hats or anything, this ladies got you covered in a lot cheaper. I wish I would have known that. If you go to the island you've got to visit the park. Hope this helps.🇬🇩

Peaceful moments at Grand Etang 🌿🌫️ Surrounded by rainforest, wildlife, and breathtaking views, this is nature at its most calming nit forgetting the playful mona monkeys who take joy in interacting with visitors at this rainforest reserve
