Harmony House - Barbados Beachfront Villa

We stayed at Harmony House in March for a very special family holiday, celebrating both my husband’s and brother’s birthdays. Harmony House is incredibly beautiful and perfectly located on Gibbes Beach. It’s truly unique in its positioning, with private access from the beautifully manicured garden and just a few steps onto the best part of Gibbes Beach (which we believe is the best beach in Barbados). The sunbeds are set up in the shade, and no other property on the beach has this feature, making it perfect for a family stay. You can simply wake up and go from the house to the beach without having to pack anything—it’s pure comfort. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty and warmly welcomed by the amazing Christine, who runs the house, and Marcia, our personal chef for the week. In the evenings, the house is truly magical, with candlelit lanterns surrounding the property, inside and out, creating a stunning atmosphere unique to Barbados and Harmony House. The sound of the waves and a fantastic welcome dinner of flying fish, paired with rum punches, made for a memorable first evening. Christine made us feel right at home, helping us choose our rooms and settling us in. Marcia’s food was exceptional. It was such a pleasure to plan our menu with her for the week. We love trying local dishes, and Marcia blew us away with her homemade fried chicken, fresh fish, and indulgent desserts—we were spoiled rotten! Christine and Marcia went out of their way to host a very special BBQ for my husband’s and brother’s birthdays, as well as a wonderful Easter brunch with local dishes and drinks. The house itself is immaculately kept, spotlessly clean, and the thing I love most is that it’s comfortable and cozy. It doesn’t feel like a hotel—it truly feels like your own home during the holiday. A huge thank you to Christine and Marcia for helping us have the best holiday ever. We’re already planning our next trip back for next year!
