Great beach with multiple sections where you can spread out if it gets crowded, though it usually isn’t. There is a designated parking lot with plenty of parking spaces. As a heads-up, there are no restrooms at the beach.
When I visited, there was a pizza truck serving great pizza, along with cold beverages such as juice, beer, and rum punch. The snorkeling was excellent—we saw many different types of fish. The kids had a great time playing, and there are shaded areas available if you forget your umbrella.

5 stars. 2 lovely inlets to swim in. There are more but did not check them out. There's also an area to the right of the parking lot walking out to the beach. Smooth sand, lovely calm waters and not much people. Love it here.

Heywoods beach is a couple of steps walking from Speightstown’s bus station and it’s very easy to reach also with public transport. The southern part is more wild, with tree branches on the sand creating the perfect atmosphere for a sunset...just a pity for the abandoned resorts behind. The beach continues till the entrance of the Port Saint Charles, where you can find some palms where get some shade and enjoy the view of the bay.

Nice quiet stretch of beach with white sands and calm water. The part near Port St Charles seems to be less busier than the one south of the parking lot.

We liked the easy access to good snorkelling, sheltered from the boat traffic. Water is also protected and generally calm. The south side ambiance is not perfect because of the abandoned resort. No amenities but lots of parking.
