My daughters and I have been volunteering at the Ocean Acres Animal Sanctuary. It warms my heart how happy the dogs are to see us, and it breaks my heart to leave them there. while there we bathe them, walk them and spoil them with hugs and playtime. If I could take them all home, I would. Maybe someone out there reading this review can take at least one and change their life forever.

Karen and her crew at Ocean Acres do an amazing job. We happened by them by happenstance in 2024 we when encountered some volunteers walking dogs at Rockley Breach.
As a result we ended up adopting Errol from OA via SitWithMe in Canada.
We made of point of visiting the sanctuary on our latest trip to Barbados and were highly impressed at the operation in general. The property/compound and staff were all excellent.
We became travel companions for two dogs coming back to Canada. The experience was gratifying and very seamless from meeting Karen at the airport to handing the dogs off with the foster in Toronto. We'll definitely be travel companions on future trips to Barbados.
We will continue to support OA as well as our own local rescues.

We have been there twice and everytime we go, we are welcome with open arms. What a wonderful place were cats and dogs can live peacefully and be well cared for. We recently adopted two wonderful cats and they are such a joy to have. Thank you Ocean Acres for letting us adopt these bundles of joy. And for everything you do to make the lives better for cats and dogs.

I have adopted 3 amazing dogs from this incredible rescue! I can’t give enough respect and appreciation to the amazing souls that volunteer their time, love, and dedication to save these beautiful abandoned animals. Much respect to all the medical staff that help as well! What an amazing sanctuary! Definitely somewhere to visit if you’re ever in the Barbados! I thank Jack Russell network Canada for the affiliation with Ocean Acres Animal Sanctuary to make it possible for me to adopt in Canada.

We visited Ocean Acres today, and we were so impressed! The whole place is run with so much care and dedication, it’s clear the animals are truly loved and well looked after. The atmosphere is so positive, and you can tell they’re making a real difference. If you’re in Barbados, this is definitely a place worth visiting and supporting!
