Poesia at The Crane is a relatively new restaurant, so I’m willing to give them some grace. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the drinks were definitely a highlight, well made and enjoyable. However, the food itself was very average and nothing really stood out, especially when compared to other Italian restaurants on the island. Overall, it has potential, but I was expecting a bit more when it came to the food.

This was a second visit within the week. The first occasion we had a lovely meal (sharing fried shrimp and squid plus aubergine parmigiana) with excellent service by Antonio.
The second was lower down the scale for food. We shared a panzanella- which it wasn’t by any stretch of the imagination. It was a chopped salad with a few crusty croutons. I had a freshly made pizza which was very salty (likely due to the anchovies) and my wife had a very good aubergine parmigiana. Early days for the new owners but there is a consistency of very good service and the food offer is nearly there. I would still go again.

Lasagna was flavorful but noodles was over cooked to the point of being mushy. Cesar salad was tasty and well done. Tiramisu desert had very few lady fingers and was a bit of a disappointment. Service was slower than slow. I realize this place is relatively new. Unfortunately you only get one chance to make a good first impression. Poseia well well short of my expectations so I cannot recommend and likely won't return as we are only here a few more days.

Not an authentic Italian restaurant. Catered towards american tastes - huge portions of overcooked pasta. It's not at all difficult to make great Italian food.

I feel bad for the review, but it’s the worst meal I had in a long time… Pasta wasn’t cooked and the pizza was way too salty.
