My review is based on Ras Amica’s repair work, though he does have a selection of leather goods in his shop (sandals, bags, bracelets etc).
My $200 leather purse broke at the strap on the second day of my vacation, and I brought it to Ras Amica Leather Craft for repair. Easy to find right on the main road in Oistins, with some parking across the street. (The sign out front actually says “Harambe”.)
I dropped the bag off in the morning and picked it up the following morning (though he said it would be done at 5pm the same day if I wanted). Extremely affordable at $5USD, the repaired strap looks good as new, and feels very secure. He seemed to be a fine craftsman and I would not hesitate to bring my leather goods to him again, should I ever find myself in Barbados and needing repair work.

When I was about 14 (long ago) Ras Amica made me a bespoke pair of sandles specially to fit my wide feet (eee) from a drawing around them that I did. When my mother was younger, he had done the same for her. A true artisan with many decades of experience, hand crafting beautiful and sustainable items using the resourceful techniques of traditional Bajan cobbling and leather working. A place not to miss. Big love to the iconic Ras Amica, a true representation of what Barbados should be proud of.
