Rihanna’s Childhood Home
Robyn Fenty was born in Barbados. From the ages of five to 16, she lived in this humble bungalow on Westbury New Road with her parents and siblings (two brothers, two half-sisters and a half-brother). She moved to the United States in 2005. Since then, Rihanna has become a major recording success and sold over 250 million records. To honor their native daughter, Barbados renamed this street Rihanna Drive in 2017.

Rihanna Drive is really more of a quick photo opportunity than an attraction or experience, but it’s still a cool stop if you’re a Rihanna fan visiting Barbados. You can see the home where she grew up, and at the end of the street there’s a sign sharing a bit of information about Rihanna Drive and the community she came from.
It’s located within a residential neighborhood, so it’s important to be respectful and mindful that people live there. Across the street there’s also a bar where you can grab a drink or wait while taking photos.
Overall, it’s a simple but interesting stop if you want to see a small piece of Rihanna’s roots while in Barbados.

Please keep quiet and be respectful when visiting as people still live in the house. Also, respect the neighborhood and the residents nearby. I visited in the morning and saw many people coming and going for a quick look. Imagine how much noise that can create throughout the day. Please be considerate and respectful.

Really easy to miss. It’s been done up nicely and apparently is now used as an Airbnb which is probably annoying to stay at considering the amount of people this attracts.
It would have been nice if they left it as it was and made it a heritage site instead but it was cool to see where she grew up.

Easy to miss, but also easy to get to! Narrow road, will lead you to this cute house, vibrant colors. Snap some pics, try the bar on the opposite side of the street which blasts Rihanna hit after hit after hit (we didnt go though), and off to more touristy things you go!

The bar just across the street is perfect to chill out and have local overpriced beer. Besides that it’s just a regular house.
