My partner and I completed our Advanced Open Water certifications here, and we had the most incredible experience. The dives were fantastic and expertly-led, with safety as priority but always lots of fun! We explored dive sites in the marine park, multiple wrecks and different reefs teeming with marine life.
A huge thank you to Roger and his team for a memorable time diving in Barbados.

Roger’s Scuba Shack was amazing and I’d highly recommend it for all things diving in Barbados. We did two courses, the Advanced Open Water course with Sean and the Enriched Air course with Shanika. Both of whom are amazing teachers and dive guides!
The facilities are great with a bar/restaurant on site. They have a good sized boat with space to move around and relax inbetween dives.
We saw a manta ray, sting rays, a sea horse, lots of stone fish, turtles, wrecks and lots more.
It’s also near the cruise dock and they offer pickup/drop off. So it’s a great place even if you’re only there for a day.
I highly recommend Roger’s for new and experienced divers alike!

not my favorite diving experience. we did 2 days of 2 tank boat dives (we originally booked 3 days but cancelled the last day)... you have to walk across the beach thru the water to the boat... after the dive same but with your gear on. It a bit of a hike on the sand. one of the dms was awesome ... shoutout to shanika she was great and the only reason this was rated as high as it was. The dm we had was also teaching students during our dives. So his focus was them and the dives were pretty much all drift dives. The dm was not interested in finding and pointing out anything. He only wanted to get from point A to point B. the dives were shorter than I am used to ... max 45 mins. They did change our tanks between dives, mostly because the boat was too small to allow all the divers on it to change their own. No one asked about our experience or expectations or limitations. One dive i did not do because the water was too rough and I knew getting back up the ladder would be very difficult. I will admit I am spoiled from diving with amazing crews and for some people this shop would be fine but it was not my preference

Pros - pick up from our VRBO, staff ensured our gear was on the boat and changed tanks over after the dives. Rinse tanks and storage was available on site making multiple day diving a breeze. Staff assisted on entry and exit on the boat. Shanika was very welcoming.
Cons - previous review from Ben was accurate for them taking their advanced course but not so much for me and my dive buddy as we were in the water with them as Shawn was teaching. I believe it is against PADI standards to be guiding and teaching at the same time. We had to repeat a dive we had done the day before to ensure the advanced group got their depth for the deep dive portion. The dives were rushed and there was no time to stop and explore the wrecks.
The restaurant on site was excellent

Just completed our Advanced Certification at Roger's and could not recommend more highly. Very good communication with planning/booking and super smooth once we arrived. Every single person there was great - funny, warm, welcoming, informative and supportive. Our instructor, Sean, was incredible and the diving was unreal. Highly recommend and we will definitely be diving with them again when we make it back to Barbados.
