I did a successful procedure at this Medical Facility a few years ago and was treated like royalty by Dr Sparman and his staff.
From the moment I meant Dr. Sparman I knew I was in safe hands. He is very knowledgeable in his medical field and gave me a second chance on life.
My wife and I continue to travel to Barbados to visit this facility every year for my general follow ups and the service is always the same.
I highly recommend this health care facility.

Excellent experience at The Medical Emergency Centre. The staff is friendly, attentive, and very professional. They maintain a clean, organized, and very trustworthy environment.
Dr. Sparman was an excellent professional who demonstrated a high level of knowledge, experience, and, above all, compassion. He listens attentively, explains everything clearly, and conveys a sense of calm. It's clear he genuinely cares about his patients' well-being and provides appropriate follow-up care.

My initial contact in 2016 with Dr. Alfred Sparman as an interventional cardiologist was through my late husband. In a critical condition he requested that I take him to Dr. Sparman. The urgency shown by Dr. Sparman and his nursing staff, on arrival, immediately impressed me.
Undergirding that sense of urgency, as I later discovered, was not only his medical expertise but a depth of empathy, care, compassion and patience for and with his patients. Rarely have I seen in my dealing with doctors a combination of these attributes all at once. He manages to instill a sense of calm and trust in his patients.
To my knowledge, he is one of the few doctors who can be reached directly on his cell-phone, such is his genuine concern for the well being of his patients.
One year later in 2017, Dr. Sparman was to become, as he still is, the cardiologist of my sister and a year later my own.
His staff is well trained, attentive, professional and friendly in their demeanour.
The facility is well organized, maintained and clean. Rebranded as the Medical Emergency Centre and renovated it offers a wider scope for patients seeking excellent medical attention.

Dr. Sparman is an outstanding physician, always very patient, attentive, and takes the time to thoroughly listen to all my concerns. He never hesitates to go above and beyond to ease my anxiety regarding any concerns I have in the management of my care which makes a world of difference to me.
The entire staff are always warm, professional, friendly, helpful and always smiling, which makes it an even more comfortable experience when one is unwell. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone seeking excellent care in a calm and welcoming environment, from a team and lead physician who clearly is genuinely committed to caring for his patients.

7 years ago, I was evaluated by Dr Sparman for stress test and echocardiogram. I was impressed with the standard of care and the wonderful modern facility
Recently I had the opportunity to tour the MEC which is undergoing a total revamping which will be including more local Doctors.
I observed that there were two private rooms that can be used for palliative care.
I am sure many out there are not aware of this. I intend to set up a fund to help local patients who cannot afford this specialized care. It will be managed by a reputable law firm, and special deductions will be offered to these patients. I will look forward to developing the use of this facility as we work together to improve the care for Heart and Stroke patients on the Island.
