Our stay at the rise so far has been wonderful, when we arrived it was clean and no issues. The host has been very attentive and kind. He asked if we need anything or have any concerns to let him know. One day mentioned maybe good to have a blender, literally within hours he brought us one.
A short walk to popular grocery store. Short taxi rides to many places like oistins fish market and Worthington square. Also short bus ride to the sheraton mall. The pool was great for cooling off (bonus with an outdoor shower and bathroom). The rooftop area, beautiful. We had no complaints. We have stayed in many airbnb's over the years and we were very happy with this one. Thx for having us.

We booked 8 days here. Mistake. Just because it looks new, don’t be fooled. The host didn’t provide entry info with the initial message, and while the unit was oddly left unlocked, we still stood outside waiting about 10 minutes for instructions on how to actually get in. The place was very dirty and clearly not cleaned before arrival. Trash and food splatter were on the floors, which hadn’t been swept or mopped. There was no dish soap or dish rag, so there was literally no way to clean anything. There was also no soap in either of the two bathrooms and no toilet paper. I had to take soap from the pool bathroom because none was provided at all. Only two bath towels were supplied for the entire stay, and they smelled unwashed. After going to the beach daily and showering regularly, this was completely inadequate. The bedding was disgusting and smelled like sweat the moment we entered the room. These concerns were brought up immediately upon arrival. The host replaced the sheets, but they were brand new and clearly unwashed, placed straight from the package onto the bed. Warm water significantly declined during the last few days of our stay, making showers unpleasant. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is absolutely not the place. The home is extremely close to a highway, neighbors are very loud, the walls are paper thin, and you can hear their TV and even smell their cooking. The host also had to come by on our first day to finish installing a new TV, which should have been done before guests arrived.
Do not recommend. Don’t waste your money. We will be telling everyone we know not to stay here. The location isn’t close to much, a car is definitely needed, and if I could give this place a -1, I would. Disappointing for as much as I paid.

We stayed at this Airbnb in Oistins, Barbados for over a week & had a mixed experience. While there were a few positives, many issues affected comfort, cleanliness, & overall quality of the stay.
The location is fairly convenient. But mind you NO OCEAN VIEW as advertised. This unit is on the first floor overlooking pool. A ride to St. Lawrence Gap was about $12–13 USD, but getting to most other places typically ranged from $20–50 USD, with prices increasing significantly later at night. Transportation costs add up quickly depending on time & destination. The home sits directly behind a main highway, with constant noise from cars racing & neighbors playing loud music, which made it difficult to relax or sleep. I would suggest staying elsewhere for longer unless you only want to go to the Gap/Oistons, as often we were at Savvy on the Bay and the rides added up.
Check-in was poorly communicated. Clear instructions were not provided in advance, we were asked to download WhatsApp to communicate, & even after arriving we weren’t told which unit was ours until about 10 minutes later. After a long travel day, this felt unnecessary & stressful.
Cleanliness was a major concern from arrival. Floors had visible dirt & hair & clearly had not been swept or mopped. We found a wrapper & someone else’s hair clip on the floor. Windows were dirty, filled with dead bugs, & all had noticeable gaps. There was feces left in the toilet upon arrival, which was extremely disappointing. The coffee maker was also left turned on when we arrived, which felt unsafe.
Beds were only provided with sheets & a small throw blanket. No comforter or extra blankets were provided at any point during the stay. The original sheets smelled sweaty & unclean. When this was mentioned, they were replaced, but the replacement sheets appeared to be brand new straight out of the package & unwashed. The second bedroom bed had no headboard, & the bedroom door does not fully close, which impacted comfort & privacy.
Both bathrooms had ongoing issues. The first bathroom had no hand soap at all. The second had no hand towel & very limited soap. Both sinks sprayed water everywhere when turned on. The shower was a half-open design that caused water to flood the floor after each use. After about three days, the hot water significantly declined, & the shower display showed the temperature would no longer reach the same level as it did upon arrival.
The kitchen was not stocked for basic use. There was no dish soap or scrubber, making it impossible to wash dishes. Many of the dishes already in the unit appeared unclean, which made us question whether they had been washed at all.
Walls are extremely thin, & we could clearly hear people next door, including their TV. There was also a constant dinging noise coming from the hallway every few seconds. In addition, the door rattled throughout the day due to the wind, even though no windows were open.
The pool was small & very cold, making it less enjoyable than expected. Only two towels per person were provided for a stay over a week, with no pool or beach towels available. There was also no blow dryer.
The host was kind when she came by to fix the TV, which should have already been working prior to arrival. However, during this visit she implied that some of the issues we raised were unlikely because no one had stayed there for months. This felt dismissive, especially given recent Airbnb reviews, & made us uncomfortable when reporting concerns such as the sweaty-smelling sheets, the coffee maker being left on, & the toilet condition. She also did not disclose that a shared top terrace was accessible to others. A washer & dryer were available, which was helpful for a longer stay.
Overall
While the location offers some convenience (to Oistons), many of these issues should have been addressed before guests arrived. Improvements in cleanliness, communication, transparency, noise control, & basic amenities are needed to justify the price & provide a comfortable stay.

I'd give this 20 stars if I could.
My husband, kids, and I stayed at The Rise at Kendall and Barbados for two weeks and honestly, it’s the best apartment we’ve ever stayed in.
The place was super clean, really big, bright, and spacious. The AC worked perfectly, and the pool was amazing—the kids basically wanted to live in it. The host was great too, always quick to respond and just made everything easy and our stay so much better. He is really the highlight of the accommodation.
The apartment had everything you could think of—Netflix, fast internet, washing machine and dryer, parking, even a phone if you needed it. The bathroom had great hot water (so important for me!), and it all just felt really comfortable and convenient.
What stood out most was just how modern and futuristic the apartment felt. The kitchen was sleek and fancy containing fully equipped, and high-end equipment making cooking a pleasure. The bathroom felt luxurious I really loved was how modern and futuristic it all felt. It was super cool with a little temperature gauge on the shower so you knew exactly how hot the water was. It just felt really updated and stylish, which made it extra nice.
It was also really quiet. We barely heard anyone else around—at one point we thought we were the only ones there! The location was great too, easy to find, close to everything, and there were even rental cars available if you needed one.
We’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend it—it really sets the standard for everywhere else we’ll stay from now on!

Our family came in from St. Lucia, and while we’re used to luxury, The Rise at Kendal completely exceeded our expectations. It isn’t just luxurious—it’s a perfect blend of beauty, elegance, comfort, and attention to the small details that make a stay unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, the space felt bright, airy, and welcoming, with a warmth that made it easy to settle in right away.
The property itself is so stunning that we actually found ourselves doing a mini photoshoot! Every corner had something worth capturing—whether it was the natural light pouring into the rooms, the thoughtful décor, or the way the design balanced modern touches with homely comfort.
One of the best parts was the convenience with a supermarket just minutes away. That alone made the stay so stress-free. The kitchen was especially impressive—it had everything from a potato peeler to chopping boards, making cooking together as a family feel effortless.
The Rise also stands out for how spacious it is. There was more than enough room for all of us to feel comfortable without ever feeling crowded. It’s the kind of place that encourages you to slow down, relax, and just enjoy the moment—whether that’s sipping coffee in your verandah, preparing a meal, or just enjoying each other’s company in a truly beautiful setting.
To us wasn't just a place to stay—it’s an experience. We left with wonderful memories and can say with confidence that it deserves every one of these 5 stars. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to anyone who wants a stay that’s not only luxurious, but also thoughtful and memorable.
A big thank you to our host for being such a gracious and attentive host—you truly made our stay feel special.
