Well, as always, I'm going to be real honest. We were the first in and were greeted with warmth and kindness. Good job there. The dining area is quaint and charming and is the typical setting for the island. I would say it's a full shirt and no swimwear sit-down type of atmosphere. Intimate, but not to fancy.
Now, the food, yes, let's talk about the food. This is where the stars are lost. Firstly, in all fairness, there was much online hype about the food that lured us to the Seacat. So expectations were high. In short, they missed the mark on portion size and flavor (that is considering the cost). I had the sword fish, and it had the potential to be something special, but it was overcooked to the point that the underside was charred a bit too much, causing the dish to begin to dry out. BUT it was edible, and i ate it all as served with no complaints to the server. I'm not complaining unless I can't eat it. But I can put you on notice bc the cook always know what they are sending out. The presentation was decent, but the flavor was missing mostly in the sampler appetizer and the red snapper offerings. For our sampler choice, we had okra, fish bites, and prongs. The wife was a bit disappointed citing lack of flavor. And she had the same description for her red snapper.
Now again to be fair, I think we didn't get the same ... as the others they hyped the place up got ... for whatever the reason. You can see what we got, and you should definitely go patronize the place, bc I believe they are better than they were on our night.

Barbados has many great things; beach, delicious food, rum, and great people. The SeaCat has 3 of those things and the beach is across the road if you feel like taking a dip. On both occasions, my wife and I showed up with no reservations and they said no problem and found us a seat. They then welcomed us like a cousin would, with smiles, jokes and great food. We had the kingfish and cassava fries, the first night and that was excellent. Succulent and first time having the cassava fries and they were super tasty. Dessert was home made key lime pie and carrot cake. The carrot cake was good but the key lime pie, that's pure heaven. Second time we attended my wife had the lobster and I had the steak. Both cooked perfectly. Cassava fries were had by all..and yes..we had another bomb slice of key lime pie. I then tried to get the recipe and would have to do at least 10 Herculean tasks to get it, but I'm on vacation and lazy so I will have to just come back again and again to taste their great food and enjoy the atmosphere that these lovely people share with tourist and locals. Thanks again! NOTE: I forgot to take pics of the food because I ate it up too quickly.

We had dinner here and everything was great. The food was phenomenal - I strongly recommend you try the fish. The drinks were very good too. The staff is really friendly and the prices are OK. I would definitely recommend this place for dinner.

Great warm welcome from our waiter.. Very very chatty and friendly...we got there early so he probably had a bit more time but he could not have been more friendly and helpful in explaining the menu items and the specials....I asked him to repeat one of his meal options and he was happy to do so in even more detail. We both had the catch of the day, my girl had the snapper and I had the barracuda. It was very good. We also had deserts which is not normal for us but the atmosphere and the welcoming service made us feel like staying a bit more. And now the place was filling up and it looked like it would be full soon. When we left other members of the staff talked to us and asked us to come again....they were warm and friendly. (Not like so many of the waiting staff in Barbados who, in my experience of them, can be quite cold and not make eye contact and some even seem a bit pissed off that you are there.)
So full marks to the Sea Cat. Great experience, great food. Thank you. Highly recommended. We later ate at the Bearded Rose, (see my review) and found the food was exceptional, as was the setting of the restaurant, but the Sea Cat beats them by far for friendliness, warmth and hospitality.

Probably the best meal we had on the island. The menu is somewhat limited but what they do serve the are masters of. The service is friendly but not very attentive nor fast. They play good music that keeps the vibes light. I found the seating to be a little uncomfortable, but all of this was made up by the food.
The parking is horrible, small and when wet very messy.
