This company has proven time and time again that it doesn't deserve my business. A package was delivered to them in December and we're now in April and I still haven't received my package! I've contacted them numerous times and all I've been told is 'once the package is ready for pick up you'll be notified'. When will that be?! 😤

Dear WestTech Shipping Team,
I am writing to express my disappointment with your service.
I recently placed an order, and I am aware that my package has already arrived at your facility. However, I have not received any notification, update, or communication from your company regarding its status. This lack of communication has made it very difficult for me to collect my package.
As a first-time customer, this experience has been extremely frustrating and does not reflect well on your service. I expected timely updates and basic customer support, but unfortunately, this has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a shipping company.
I strongly urge you to improve your communication and customer service processes. Please provide me with an update on my package as soon as possible and advise on how I can collect it.

I ordered two packages to be shipped via West Tech to Barbados, and my experience has been very frustrating.
The issues began with their payment system. Duties over $100 BDS had to be paid in advance via PayPal or in person. I paid the first package immediately via PayPal and the second the next day because PayPal wouldn’t allow duplicate payments. Despite this, customer service repeatedly claimed they had not received my payment.
I emailed proof multiple times yet no confirmation for weeks. Even after one CSR confirmed that customs had received the payment and were clearing the shipment another later claimed there was still no record. I emailed the owners personal email address which is also the recipient of the PayPal transaction, along with another personal email and his official west tech email, no response.
PayPal payments go directly to the owner in Florida, meaning local staff in Barbados cannot verify them. Every payment confirmation requires multiple layers of communication turning a simple process into a weeks long series of chaotic events.
It is so informal to accept West Tech Payments via a personal email going directly to the owner in another country instead of the branch’s local accounts department or the business itself where it can be verified in house… All of the payments from all islands with operations has to send payments to ONE personal PayPal account? I imagine this causes many bottleneck situations with payment verification.
PayPal payments are not integrated into the app so there is no real time verification for staff.
Their notification system is also misleading. I received a “pickup” email and went in person, only to be told it was actually a notice to pay duties. Staff explained the difference on deciphering when it’s a real pick up email vs duties owed, it is when a description is placed next to the contents and not the tracking number. How would a customer possibly know the difference with no indication whatsoever that duties are owed? In my case, I paid the duties 5 weeks ago..
Staff seem to adapt to a broken system rather than questioning it. They are more defensive than solution oriented. For example, when I suggested it would be easier if customer service had access to PayPal records, a staff member said “A bank teller can’t see your loans or mortgages” (which is false) implying it’s normal that they can’t check payments. Also, the staff explaining a real pick up email vs duties owed. These are examples of staff accepting inefficiency instead of improving the process.
Internal communication is also poor. CSRs do not read prior emails carefully, update each other or make notes and they constantly give conflicting information.
West Tech’s system is outdated, inefficient, and confusing for customers I.e one shipment generates 3 tracking numbers which all give false notifications / updates. A simple web/ app developer could fix this issue. . Simple transactions like confirming a payment or picking up a package should take minutes but here they take weeks and even months. Their lack of internal communication, incorrect notifications and dependence on manual payment verification make the customer experience extremely frustrating.
Despite customers’ willingness to use their service, the business shows no interest in providing a smooth, hassle free experience.. not even a commitment to improving. So what’s the real incentive here?
Hands down and without fail, one of the worst customer experiences.
I didn’t think they could top losing 3 large desks of mine in THEIR warehouse for 3 months but yet again West Tech has somehow outdone themselves. (Do they not have tracking numbers and a filing system in the warehouse in Miami?) They just manage to fall short in every aspect.

When I first started shipping with this company the service was great but in the last 6 months or so it has just been a horrible experience. The customer service is poor, they take two months or longer to clear packages and there never communicate what the issue for the delays are. No one answers the phone or emails so to get an update you have to go to the store. After receiving my final packages I'm done with this company
