Good food-Less money!!!! We had shrimp scampi which my wife said was incredible . I had the seafood scampi based on Alfonso’s recommendation- it was great! He also suggested pumpkin soup which was wonderful. Atmosphere was very casual . Alfonso himself gave us a complete history of his cooking talent and experience on the island for almost 40 years. You may not get bragging rights for telling everyone you ate at the most expensive restaurants on the island but if you want “great food for less money “, this is your place! And I am now bragging to all my friends

Alfonso’s was absolutely spectacular. The food was amazing. I had the coconut shrimp and my husband had the steak. Both surpassed our expectations. Alfonso checked on us multiple times and is the nicest man. Please go support him!

We ran into Chef Alfonso while grocery shopping a couple days ago. As chefs ourselves, we struck up a conversation, and discovered that he has his own restaurant. We had to give it a try! When we walked in, he and his staff were gracious, and so warm & welcoming. He went out of his way to make chicken fingers for our youngest son, and chicken pasta for our older son. My husband had spicy seafood pasta that was chock full of seafood. I had the beef stroganoff, which was creamy and delicious and had a tropical twist. I can’t recommend his restaurant enough! If you’re in Anguilla, definitely check him out!

Absolutely wonderful!! Chef and the staff were very friendly and kind. We had the Seafood Creole and Salmon. Both were delicious! Highly recommend eating here. Will be back if we visit Anguilla again!

Anguilla has a number of modestly priced family run restaurants, and Alfonso’s might be the best, in terms of the pure skill of the chef, who is, of course, Alfonso. We went for lunch, and I had the fish sandwich, while my companion had a shrimp Caesar (only $13 plus six for the shrimp). The sandwich was luscious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. It came with unique fries, chef trimmed fat little wedges, fried crispy golden (not brown, gold), with a creamy yellow interior, presumably Yukon’s. I’ve never had anything like them, as I said, unique. The salad came in an ample bowl, with the romaine cut into bite-size pieces, with the shrimp on top. I’ve had any number of fancy Caesars that didn’t eat well, like whole leaves drizzled with a little dressing. This one was perfect to eat, and reportedly tasted as nice as it looked. Alfonso's does a good dinner business they say (with white table cloths), as I confirmed one night when we went by, but mid-week for lunch, we were the only ones there. That’s a crime, all the tourists paying $25 for a middling burger in an upscale resort restaurant, when they could be here, being served lunch by a skilled professional chef. One problem might be the location, they’re on Blowing Point, but not on the main road, it’s to the west, between the ferry and Rendezvous Bay roads. In fact, if you’re coming from the west, this road is a faster option to the lower reaches of Blowing Point road. There’s a sign on the main drag, but it can be hidden a bit by the undergrowth. It doesn’t have any kind of view, but that’s okay, your attention will be on the plate. Don’t miss this place, I very much regret only eating there once during our brief stay. If I get back, at my age (I’d love to, Anguilla is amazing), I plan on staying longer and eating through their menu. Serious, I’ll stay an extra week just to eat here, and Nick’s Pizza, Shake Shack, Criss Conch Shack, etc. Really outstanding restaurant scene here, crying out for more tourist business. Crank up the rental car and leave the fancy prices behind, Alfonso awaits, with a smile.
