After a great stay in Anguilla, comes this farewell that almost ruins your great vacation.
Everything was great at this new airport, except for two things. First, a $28 departure fee — yes, you heard me right. Absolutely insane, first time I've ever seen this 'innovation.' The other strange thing was security: they confiscated a regular toothpaste tube with barely a gram left in it. Go figure

Highly recommend not flying through here. The security staff have very little to do so they will go through your items one by one especially toiletries. If it’s one milliliter above what’s allowed they will make you throw it out or check your bag. I fly frequently and have never experienced this level of scrutiny.
The airport doesn’t offer much, no food or drinks were available to purchase. There was a small snack window but this was closed prior to our departure.
The staff is more rude than welcoming. The ferry from St. Martin is a much more pleasant way to access the island.

You are not allowed to be stressed here, everything takes time... Check-in, bag-drop (self service) and departure process including taxi payment. No working monitors displaying dapartures / arrivals. Other from that, the airport is clean and easy to navigate.

Small airport with a departure tax per person so beware. Also make sure to put your toiletries in a separate bag which has to be plastic I believe. I highly recommend everyone to try the best bbq spot, maybe a couple of minutes away from the airport, D' BBQ HUT. They have the best food in all of Anguilla!!!! The best!!!

I can’t say enough about everyone at Anguilla are services. Nanette you are amazing!!! Corey, our pilot was fantastic. You both made our flight from Anguilla to St. Barts unforgettable!!
