We used Aristocat for our Disney cruise excursion. We booked the shared catamaran and it was amazing. Peaceful, relaxing, safe and beautiful. They picked us up at our port and returned us 1 hour before our cruise ship left just as planned. Lunch on the boat was great also. My kids fell in love with riding catamarans!

Perfect day on the water. Captain Flo and first mate Lady were so accommodating. The catamaran was spacious and comfortable. Even though the visibility was low due to water conditions, they were able to find us some excellent snorkeling sites where we saw so much coral and vibrant life. Lady prepared a delicious on board lunch for us. We would definitely sail with them again

We had such a great day! Flo and Lady were wonderful guides and made the day perfect. The snorkeling spots were amazing and lunch was great as well.

Not the Premium Experience the Reviews Suggest
UPDATE:
After the owner’s public response, I want to clarify that our main concerns were not related to weather or misunderstanding the tour description.
The core issue was the captain’s unprofessional, openly political, and polarizing conduct onboard. Strongly opinionated political commentary was repeatedly introduced and directed at paying guests in a confrontational manner. That behavior created a tense and divisive atmosphere that had no place on what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation sail. A leisure excursion should never feel like a platform for personal political grievances.
Original Review:
We booked Aristocrat Day Sails based on their strong reviews and expected a relaxed, premium day sail in the British Virgin Islands. While the boat was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, and the stop at Soggy Dollar Bar met expectations, the overall experience was disappointing.
The first stop was promoted as an opportunity for stand-up paddleboarding and snorkeling. While we understood this was not a dedicated snorkeling trip, snorkeling was initially presented as an option. The captain strongly discouraged it, making it clear that getting the equipment out was not something she wanted to deal with, and told us there was “really no point” due to a dead reef. Paddleboarding was also not allowed due to wind conditions, which is understandable—but no meaningful alternatives were offered. The stop ultimately amounted to swimming ashore, walking a short stretch of sand, and returning to the boat.
Outside of the Soggy Dollar stop, the outing felt more like a basic water taxi than a curated day sail. There was no real itinerary, no hosting, no music, and very little engagement with guests.
Food was also underwhelming. Snacks were limited to a bowl of potato chips, and lunch consisted of hot dogs and sloppy potato and a few slices of cold cuts, which felt far below what you’d expect from a trip marketed as a five-star experience.
The most troubling part, however, was the captain’s behavior. She was often unfriendly and snippy, and repeatedly injected personal U.S. political commentary into the trip. President Trump was mentioned multiple times in a hostile manner, and the discussion escalated into unsolicited remarks about immigration, school mass shootings, firearms, and violence—comments that were directed at guests onboard.
Regardless of political views, this was deeply inappropriate on a paid leisure excursion and made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Politics and emotionally charged topics have no place on a vacation sail.
While the boat itself was nice and Soggy Dollar delivered what it promised, the overall experience did not match the reputation or reviews we relied on. If your goal is simply to get to Soggy Dollar Bar, a taxi boat would be cheaper, faster, and far more pleasant.

Loved our day sailing Norman Island with James and Maddie! They were “Elite”. We swam with sea turtles, explored the caves and made lifelong memories.
