We saw Hans the Magician perform on the top floor of Castaway restaurant and it turned out to be one of the most fun nights of our entire Barbados trip.
The setting was perfect! An intimate, relaxed atmosphere upstairs which made his close-up magic even more unbelievable. He wasn’t on a big stage… he was right there with us, and somehow still completely fooled everyone.
His tricks were sharp, clever, and truly mind-blowing, but what really makes him special is his personality. He’s funny, warm, and effortlessly engaging. Within minutes the whole room was laughing and participating.
It was mostly adults the night we went, but kids 12+ would absolutely love this show too.
If you’re dining at Castaway and Hans is performing, don’t miss it. Stay for the show! It’s pure entertainment and easily one of the highlights of our trip.

Hans was amazing! I was a magicians assistant in my youth and I couldn’t figure out how he did his illusions. Fun, entertaining and mystical!
We had dinner there before the show - fantastic food, presentation and the staff were professional & friendly. A wonderful evening had by all our friends.

It was a nice evening, a nice set up and a very nice gentleman who did the show and made it personable by greeting everyone prior to the show.
I would say it's fairly expensive for an hour performance and I think you may need to project your voice a little more as we struggled to hear you near the back.

We had a delightful time with Hans, who comes out into the restaurant (if you're eating there before the show) to chat! He's a delightful, charming person with a fascinating set of sleight of hand and tricks that all culminate into a cohesive whole that's both satisfying and interactive. Recommended!

Always amazing and great fun! Fourth year in a row that we go to Hans' show. And already waiting for the next one. Definitely Barbados' best magic show
