We had dinner at Barefoot and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. The setting is absolutely beautiful, and the sunset was gorgeous. The atmosphere alone makes it worth a visit.
I ordered the Tropical Romance, while others in our group had the beef tips and shrimp and the blackened mahi mahi. The kids enjoyed nuggets and fish sticks. We also had a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, which was decent but nothing particularly memorable.
Our waiter, Zae, was very attentive and provided excellent service throughout the evening. For dessert, I tried the chef’s special dessert platter, which included mango cheesecake, crème brûlée, brownie, sorbet, and apple pie à la mode. It was a fun way to sample several desserts and was a great ending to the meal.
The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the fish on my Tropical Romance plate had a fishy taste, which was disappointing. The chimichurri was also very minimal, and I would have liked more of it. We also had a few flies around our table during dinner.
That said, the beautiful oceanfront setting, stunning sunset, attentive service, and delicious dessert made for a lovely evening overall. I’d definitely return and try something different from the menu. 🌅🍷🍰

We celebrated my mom's 60th Birthday dinner at Barefoot and I couldn't have picked a better place with good food, drinks and atmosphere. We had 6:15 reservations last week and it was perfect timing.
I had the seafood pasta as pictured and it was delicious and she had the seafood trio with lobster sauce. My mom and I agreed we would skip the crab cake appetizer next time. A lot of filler and not the lump crab meat like were used too.
Even though we had skipped dessert they had brought out a brownie decorated beautiful and sang. It was such a special night.

This restaurant is located right on the beach and offers inside and outside seating. It has a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. You can come in flip-flops to put your feet in the sand. The food was very good and packed with flavor. The Garlic shrimp dish with mashed potatoes were very garlicky. The service was exceptional! The wait staff were super friendly and explained everything on the menu.

We visited Barefoot for dinner while vacationing in Aruba recently. Barefoot offers a unique dining experience, on the beach in Oranjestad (at the end of the airport runway, which allows you to watch the planes land and watch the sunset). The food was delicious, we had the crab cakes and tuna tataki for appetizers and then ordered the mango cream grouper for dinner. The mango cream sauce beautifully compliments the grouper, which is laid over mashed potatoes with sautéed vegetables. For dessert we enjoyed key lime pie which was remarkably light and fluffy, but still full of flavor. I’d highly recommend Barefoot for a sunset dining experience on the beach while visiting Aruba.

We’re not the types to write a review but this place needs a real one. Decided to opt for this beachfront restaurant due to the highly praised reviews. We were seated earlier than our reservation, which was a plus since we got there earlier than expected. There was a local event going on when we sat down so there were kids playing soccer right in front of us and kicking their ball into our table, so we asked to move further back which was still a good view but we really liked our initial spot. Bummer.
Our server Fe was super nice and attentive.
The overall atmosphere was nice because it’s on the beach but the food was way overpriced for the quality. I don’t know where these amazing food reviews come from but we were disappointed as we expected fine dining. We ordered a bottled of Sancerre wine, which was good. For food, we started with the Two Tuna but the tuna was cut too thick leaving a weird texture, the “crab cakes” were not what we expected as well, tasted like Americas hush puppies, the seafood pasta was just okay and the seafood trio was also just okay since the scallops were overcooked.
