Stopped off here while visiting Andromeda Gardens. A beautiful place, amazing scenery. Not much in area but we had our packed lunch and drinks. Nice place to relax for a bit. Saw some people swimming in the quieter parts of the coast but I wouldn’t as was a bit rough.

My favorite place on the island hands down. While the Caribbean side of Barbados is known to be more popular for its beaches, bars and views.. the Atlantic side surely doesn't get enough credit.
Also, what amazes me most is that standing on this Atlantic side of Barbados means you're standing 4000 miles away from Africa 🌍. Amazing right?! There's literally nothing in between Barbados and Africa on the Atlantic side but the ocean (that's why it was a direct journey and the easiest route during the days of the Slave Trade).
Today, without much interference from human hands, nature has outdone herself with all her natural beauty. The palm trees, the huge coral stone rocks, the crystal clear water (even though you can't swim there) and even the seasonal seaweed is always a sight to behold.
Locals call it far, but the drive is totally worth it 👌🏼
Bathsheba gives the perfect 'island life' feeling.

Views & fresh ocean air are wonderful. Drive to get here is tedious with narrow roads that are sometimes extremely bumpy with hairpin turns & blind drops over steep hills. We brought a picnic lunch & decompressed on the cliff next to the Hillcrest Community Center. Stunning views from our picnic table!
A trip to the park below had more beautiful scenery with large formations that were once part of the cliffs.
If you don’t mind the somewhat exhausting drive to get here, it’s a beautiful spot to visit.

The only beach out of 14 I visited on the island that had an abundance of sea shells. Swells were too big to try swimming.

Such a cool beach!! The roads getting here are quite steep but the beach itself is a great location to surf and explore for shells.
