If your goal is to just see the bio-luminescent then I recommend you to first confirm if its visible in the recent days and make your decision. We did this tour last week (2nd week of August). The tour itself was informative and it was good to learn about the mangrove trees and the creatures around it but unfortunately there was no bio-luminescent visible due to natural factors. It's no fault of the tour operators but I felt like we could have spent money on something better.

My boyfriend and I had a blast on our tour. Daniel and the entire crew made our trip so easy and fun. There were rambunctious kayakers from other companies all over the place, but the BioIsland team had total control over our boats (and also helped out some kayakers in the process). We were basically the last of the late night tours across all companies, so we had Laguna Grande almost entirely to ourselves. The plankton was pretty bright when you ran your hand (or stick) through the water, which was great. The tour going through the mangroves to and from the lagoon was informative and fun, and we got to see crabs, scorpions, and other fun things! I would absolutely recommend and do this again with other friends.

We had an amazing experience last night on our Bio Island boat tour. The check-in process was smooth and friendly. Our crew was very knowledgeable and very kind. We saw the bioluminescence in the bay and got to hold a jelly. He showed us some star constellations as well! It was such a lovely evening to enjoy nature. Very well done tour. Highly recommend!

Absolutely the best way to see the bio bay. Dont even bother with the kayaks if you're able to book these guys. Really fun and engaging guide, charming boats, and overall incredible experience. Worth going on the waitlist if they're booked, we were able to go on a tour as a group of four by doing so. Also be aware that tge bioluminescence looks nothing like the pictures (obviously), its more subdued but still really cool and worth it.
