I could not be happier about this place! It is the best meal we’ve had in St. Maarten. There is a relaxing view of the ocean from the restaurant and the staff is so fun, friendly and dynamic.
We thought we were just having mains until we saw the daily specials—the mahi mahi ceviche and beef-chorizo empanadas sounded irresistible. In fact, the mahi mahi was very fresh and flavorful, and the empanadas were in a fluffy pastry with an amazing savory filling. The ratio of pastry to meat was perfect.
All of the mains on the menu sounded great to us. The Beef Cheek was so tender and served in a delicious sauce. I recommend ordering mashed potatoes with it! The Stuffed Chicken Ballotine was also so tender and flavorful, with a very tasty filling.
The dessert menu was all so tempting—including two daily specials. The Pain Perdu is the best I’ve ever had (as a French customer!), served with delicious salted caramel ice cream. The special Éclair revisité was so good, but it was served with a raspberry coulis which we didn’t find suited the chocolate in the éclair. They offered shots of rum to finish, which we gladly took up, and they brought juice and grenadine for non-alcohol drinkers. This is a must-visit when in the area!

One of the best restaurants on the island. Staff is amazing! Food and drinks are outstanding. The manager even made sure we could watch the USA World Cup match with sound. Such a great spot on SXM, and a place that made us feel at home but in paradise. Thank you Calmos Cafe!

Grand Case was a nice surprise. Many restaurants to choose from. We went 50/50 on the food. The triggerfish was amazing and the streak was good. Their linguini Alfredo w chicken and a special shell pasta with chorizo were both just okay. Views are great over the water. They had a few premium seating options outside closer to the water with better views. Several large groups eating inside. The inside part is open air

SUCH a wonderful experience, we came twice during our trip! The chefs special red snapper was absolutely delicious, and the truffle burrata was great. Amazing cocktails and the most beautiful view of the sunset! Make sure to make a reservation to ensure you get prime seating.

We loved the Grand Case area for dining and tried several of the restaurants but Calmos Cafe was our absolute favorite. We went for dinner and sat inside, right by the outdoor railing, though there were some tables that were directly on the sandy beach below.
The food was exceptional, the cocktails were creative and very good, and we loved the added touch of a shot of banana vanilla rum at the end of the meal.
When we are in St Martin again this will be the first place we go.
