This is an easy trail. Seniors, children and people with disabilities can make this trail. Usually tour-guided. We had to wait 15 mins for a quorum. This is one of the only caves in DR that is pretty much paved inside. Qualified for a smooth tour under, self lighted, no bumpy rides. At the end of the tour, theres an enclosure to see the endangered, endemic Rhinoceros Iguana. Recommended.

Beautiful and impressive. A ton of stalagmites and stalactites and amazing cave drawings. An hour long guided tour thru the cave on a cement walkway making it an easy stroll. The Guide spoke in both Spanish and English to accommodate all. Would highly recommend.

Cueva de las Maravillas is truly impressive and one of the highlights of our trip. Well-organized from the moment you arrive, with clear rules and respectful staff. The cave itself is stunning — incredible scale, ancient Taíno petroglyphs, and beautiful lighting that creates an almost magical atmosphere. The guided tour is calm and informative, never rushed. You really feel like you’re experiencing real history, not a tourist setup. A big plus is transparency and accessibility — everything is clearly explained, no unpleasant surprises at the entrance. After visiting other places in the area, this was especially refreshing. Highly recommended if you’re in this part of the Dominican Republic. A true gem.

Great place to visit. Beautiful cave inside. On the way out you see many iguanas. Interesting! Kids can do 10 minutes horse back riding.

This attraction is very close to the playa neuva development by Bahia Principle. As I was told that tours cannot be formed during low seasons, we hired a private taxi through our hotel in going there. Please make sure you are paying the driver for the return trip so that he/she waits for you while there. On this day we visited Nov 5, the cave was virtually vacant except ourselves. So, nice photos. This national park is closed on Mondays.
