Great place for photos. It's freento the public so you can visit 24/7. Many birds occupy the wetlands here. Be warned that during the rainy season, there might be slight flooding on the main road. Certain parts of the main road are in poor condition, so u less your vehicle's suspension is in great condition, I wouldn't recommend you pass this road. This road is also very notorious for paranormal activity during the early morning hours. Ask locals for more stories. Most attribute this to the battles which took place when Europeans arrived and were challenged by the Caiquetios. Some contribute it to bloodshed during the gold rush period.
Would not recommend you walk this pass at nigh as the lack of street lighting becomes a safety issue with oncoming traffic.

Old road with a spooky story of possible hauntings. The gold mill ruins are the most interesting part

We didn't understand what this was. We saw a signpost for "French Pass" once, which we followed, but then nothing more. Then we came straight to the ruins.
