This was my favorite beach to float on a raft at, minimal waves/tide to pull you out. At Carlisle, couldn't really float without being pulled outwards. Pack a lunch and some beers, there aren't vendors. Very quiet, calm beach. The locals must think so too, because the few people we saw were Bajan. Chartered boats would anchor here to make lunch for their patrons, because it is so calm and pretty. There's some shade to find along the shore, making it ideal for hot days. I visited this beach while beach hopping, and came back another day to spend a full day here. You can park on Gibbes Road, walk across the street and to the right, maybe less than a quarter mile, and there is an entry point. Not much to see snorkeling, more of a drink a beer and read a book kind of beach. Get yourself some cheap inflatables from Amazon and bring those on your trip - small to pack and very much worth it. I like the ones with float pillows on either end and netting in the middle. You can sit or lay on them a bunch of ways and they aren't bad to inflate.

The WHOLE beach is rock and gravel/pebbles in the ocean/beach floor. From the moment you start walking in to the water, its all gravel and stone (and you can see it when the waves recede). Im not sure why no one else has mentioned this as it ruins the whole experience--and I wore beach shoes to wear in the water. The gravel and stones still made it into my shoes. There's also a lot of leaves floating in the water with the rocks.
The water is COMPLETELY CLEAR! But the sandfloor makes it impossible to really enjoy the water. There's also a couple of quick drops when youre entering, which is hard to do comfortably with the ROCKS.
If youre looking for a place to swim or wade in water, this is NOT the beach. Maybe you have to go out farther to escape rocks, but it gets deep so quickly that you'll be floating the whole time. Do NOT recommend for swimming

I loved this now small beach. It was bigger before the hurricane hit the island in July 2024. Stunning exotic water and beach. No sunbeds or umbrellas.

You always see this said about a place. But this time it’s true - best beach on the island. If you’re looking for quiet, stunning beauty and sandy bottom.

Quiet beach, sandy. Little shade though. Entrance just after Southwinds (pictured)
