No reservations were required for a group of 4.
After a 45 step high stairway, you gain access to the caves with a guide, either dutch, spanish or english speaking. I would say the tour is about 30 minutes with the guide. Inside the caves, you can only take pictures in certain areas. It was a very safe cave exploration experience that is suitable for young children.
Afterwards, there is a short trail with evidence of early humans on the island and informatio on local flora and fauna.

The caves and their history are very interesting. I really liked how much information our tour guide gave us. Some of the information about the caves themselves and some about the humans involved in the cave history. The steps you have to take to enter the caves are not bad at all. It’s warm in the caves but they have fans going. No need to buy tickets in advance if you are in a smaller group. Tours start at the top of each hour.

We bought our tickets at the booth for the tour as it was cheaper than booking it online. They have tours every hour from 9am - 3pm. We went a little after 10am and booked for the 11am tour.
While we waited, there was an Indian Trail nearby where you could walk and view plants, animals and some parts of the cave.
The tour itself was very educational and we learnt not only about the Cave but some information on the island itself. It was also split into groups based on language which was really appreciated. Awesome experience 👏

We visited this place as part of a group tour. It was interesting to learn about the formation of the cave. They don't allow pictures in certain areas but there are still plenty of opportunities for photo ops.
This cave is walkable with plenty of artificial lighting along the man made paths through the cave. They also have large fans along the wall as well because of the environment of the cave. The lighting has also had its own effect on the structures (but you will learn about that if you go).
They also have a cafe and some tortoises in a cage.
This is worth a quick stop but not much more.

Very cool caves tour. Not to big an area but reasonably easy to access. Narrow staircase to the entrance to the caves. But paved path within. Nice easy paved trail at entrance for an additional hike if you have time. I recommend as we saw other little caves and some wildlife. Iguanas, parrots, lizards and some other birds.
