I came to Puerto Rico for the first time in 11 years and this was the first place I came to with my wife. It was our first time at the restaurant and from the entrance to sitting at the table the atmosphere was amazing and most importantly our server Marcelo was the best. The restaurant has an awesome view of the ocean. This was the first time in a long time that I got to eat authentic Puerto Rican food and I had the Bistec Encebollado that was great. I will say that Marcelo made our experience unforgettable, he had an amazing personality and made this date special. There was also someone taking pictures and we bought a picture from him that we really loved. This was an unforgettable experience, I would definitely recommend

I was doing a Google search looking for a nice restaurant in San Juan and came across Havana Restaurant with great reviews and high scores on Google Maps, so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, everything started off good. The restaurant itself has a great vibe and looks beautiful inside. Our server Marcelo was a nice guy and very friendly. We ordered our food, but unfortunately he forgot to ask my wife how she wanted her steak cooked. When the food arrived, her steak came out medium, which wasn’t how she wanted it, so we had to send it back to be cooked more. Then my wife ordered a Diet Coke. When it arrived, I noticed the can was expired since September 2025. I let Marcelo know no big deal, mistakes happen. He apologized and brought another can, but unfortunately the second one was expired too, this one since April 1st. At that point my wife was completely turned off from the dinner experience. On top of that, they charged us $11 for three bottles of water, which I found outrageous considering it wasn’t even premium water like Perrier, Saratoga, or San Pellegrino. The food itself wasn’t anything special either. It’s a shame because the restaurant itself is very nice and has a great atmosphere, but serving expired products is something that really shouldn’t happen. Overall, the experience went downhill after that.

Havana Bar and grill is a great spot eat. The customer service is top-notch and the atmosphere is super pleasant. And let me tell you, the drinks were absolutely fantastic. Our waiter Marcelo was amazing. He greeted us warmly and really made us feel right at home.

We made last minute reservations at Havana bar and grill on May 16th after we flew into Puerto Rico that afternoon and we were looking for a walkable restaurant from our hotel where we could dine with a view of the ocean and taste some local fare. Havana bar and grill did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived we were welcomed warmly and the staff was amazing. Our waitress did not hesitate in giving us drink recommendations and the drinks arrived quickly along with our appetizers of mini empanadillas, and mini risotto croquettes with guava sauce, they were delicious abs I highly recommend. For dinner we ordered Roma Vieja and the KanKan pork again the food was outstanding and when I was undecided on what rice to order the waitress recommended the black rice and it did not disappoint. The manager I’m assuming saw us taking selfies and came over and offered to take our picture for us. They also have a photographer that will come to your table and take your photo and give you a complimentary post card and you can buy additional photos if you’d like which is a nice touch to remember your time there. There wasn’t any pressure to buy them and the experience was great. Overall I would rate this restaurant and 10 out of 10 for food, hospitality and atmosphere. We will definitely return on our next trip to San Juan

From the moment we walked in, we knew it was going to be a great experience. Marcelo was our waiter and he was absolutely marvelous, we loved him! The drinks, food, music, and the OCEAN VIEW probably made this the best eating experience I have had in Puerto Rico so far! Wish they had this back at home!!!
