Pleasant and easy experience from start to finish renting from Hertz at this location! We arrived at AXA and a shuttle was there for us- Mario was so sweet and welcoming, and helped us with our luggage. The location is just down from the airport, it’s actually visible when you land. When we got to the office our car was there waiting for us and ready to go- super clean and well-maintained. We did some quick paperwork, got my husband‘s temporary driving permit and got some safety info on how to drive around the island. Mario and my husband got our bags loaded while I installed our son‘s carseat, and we were on the road in no time. Our eSIM wasn’t working for some reason when we landed, so they also gave us directions to our hotel which was really helpful. A week later we arrived to return the car, quick and painless process with more friendly service from Mario. He took us back to the airport, and we were on our way! Driving around the island was easy, there is very little traffic and most roads are maintained pretty well. There’s some dirt roads to get to some of the beaches, etc. but those are fine too as long as you drive carefully. Great experience and would definitely rent from them again!

We had the best service here! There was no waiting around at all. They are on it here! They are so friendly and welcoming yet so efficient with their time. We have traveled all over the Caribbean and this is the best service we have experienced with renting a car of anywhere else. Well done Anguilla! Your island, your people, all beautiful! We will be back!

Exceptional Service at Hertz/Dollar/Firefly Anguilla – A Perfect 10 Our experience with the Hertz/Dollar/Firefly team in Anguilla was flawless from start to finish. The moment we stepped out of baggage claim, their shuttle was already waiting for us with zero delays and a warm welcome right off the plane. It’s only a quick three-minute ride to their lot, and from that point on everything felt smooth, organized, and genuinely friendly. Mario and Jeanelle deserve special mention. They were both incredibly professional while still keeping things relaxed and easygoing. They walked us through a thorough vehicle inspection and even helped get us set up with the required international driver’s license which is something first-time visitors may not realize they need. Their attention to detail and customer care went far beyond what I’ve experienced at other Hertz locations. The office is nicely air-conditioned (a huge plus in the island heat), and even the shuttle was refreshingly cool. Truly, every part of the process was seamless. If I were to rate the experience on a scale of 1–10, this location is an easy 20. I honestly can’t think of a single thing they could improve. Pro tip for renters: When returning your car, there’s a convenient gas station at the last roundabout before the airport. Just keep an eye out so you don’t drive past it like we did!

Great rental agency. Shuttle was there right after we landed. Paper work had mostly been completed since e we had sent in our info and we were on the road in under 10 minutes. Would definitely use again!

Watch out for additional costs. I rented a car from them for $128/day. I also paid $65 total for insurance that was billed directly by Expedia when I made the reservation. Full insurance through their local contract is $40/day Plus $25 for a mandatory "Drivers License" that is just a folded piece of paper that says Drivers License on it. Also know that there will be surcharges.of 5% and an additional Goods and Services tax of 13%. Watch for scams on this island from Taxis. The taxi driver before picking up the rental wanted another $10 to move the taxi 30 feet to drop the bags at the room entrance instead of at the reception entrance where he initially stopped. We pulled the bags out, telling him "we brought the bags 3000 miles here on our own, we will take them the last few feet, thanks." Oh, yea, the supermarkets, their prices are in Caribbean dollars but if you don't question it, they will try to have you pay in USD at the register charging you almost triple. Happened more than once to multiple people at more than one store. Island is full of grifters. Pretty water though, and our hotel manager Carol was great to us.
