We had an amazing time with Donney on the Hop-On Hop-Off Grenadian Food Tour! From the moment we started, Donney's energy, humor, and passion for Grenada made the experience unforgettable. He has an incredible wealth of knowledge about the island's history, culture, and people. He knew everyone we met along the way, which made the tour feel incredibly authentic and personal. His stories and local insights brought every stop to life.
The local food is amazing. We started at Breakfast Bites, then the House of Chocolate, sampled some rum at Mark's Sports Bar and ended at Andy's Soup house. All authentic food and drink and truly showcased why Grenada is known as the Spice Island. We loved learning about the island's rich culinary traditions while tasting authentic local dishes and spices.
On our tour we did manage to stop at Fort Frederick, Annondale Falls, and Grand Etang National Park. It was great to see and hear so many historical facts about the island.
If you're visiting Grenada and want to experience the island through the eyes of a true local, Donney is the person you want. This tour was informative, fun, delicious, and will be one of the absolute highlights of our trip. Thank you, Donney, for such a memorable experience!

We had an amazing time on the Bar Hopping & Grenadian Rum Tasting Tour! Donney was incredibly friendly, kind, and very informative throughout the entire experience. We loved all of the stops, and he even took the time to stop so we could grab pizza and some delicious chicken from the local chicken man. His knowledge of Grenada and warm personality made the tour even more enjoyable. If you're visiting Grenada, I highly recommend booking a tour with Donney—you won't be disappointed!" 🌴🥃🇬🇩

We did a last minute trip to Grenada and found Donny from Illustrious Tours.
Donny is very knowledgeable and is a true ambassador for Grenada.
Very flexible to your last-minute plans and went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great time.
Highly Recommended!!!
The 1st tour was a Hop On Hop Off Grenada Food Tour.
1st started at Breakfast Bites. All traditional foods. I had the stew wings, breadfruit and natural juice. Everything was delicious 😋.
We did the City tour, went to the Cocoa factory and learned about cocoa fat and sampled several chocolates. Saw some stunning lookout points of the City, Mark's Sports bar to sample some liquor was a stop. The passion fruit was our favorite. We did Annadale Waterfall. That was refreshing.
Also did the forest and interacted with the cute wild monkeys. We also did the Grand Etang.
Oh and the City Market where we had some refreshing coconut water and bought some goodies to bring back.
The highlight of the day was Andy's Soup House. The best food I've had in a long time. I had the stew, ground provisions, natural juice and two shots of #7 Rum. Even sampled the mannicou (didn't like it, lol).
All in all was a great day and we booked him for another tour to see the East and North End of the island.

Excellent service from Illustrious taxi and tour! Donney was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about Grenada. The tour was well organized, informative, and tailored to our interests. His passion for showcasing the island made the experience truly memorable. I felt safe, comfortable, and welcomed throughout the journey. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Grenada and looking for a first-class taxi and tour experience!

I HIGHLY highly highly recommend booking with Donney for any and everything in Grenada! One of the best parts of our trip to Grenada was the warmth and care we received from Donney! He is the BEST! He provided so much fun, flexibility, grace and kindness- he’s so knowledgeable about the country and I learned so much about Grenadian culture and hospitality through him. He also knows everyone on the island, and everyone constantly says hello to him which is a true testament to his kindness and ability to maintain community! He is a hardworking family man, is light hearted and by the end of the trip he felt like family! We really miss him and we hope to return to Grenada asap!
Thank you to Donney for your hospitality, incredible quality of service, and friendship!! 😊 I have full confidence that as soon as you meet him, you’ll understand exactly what I’m talking about!
