While visiting Barbados, I had the pleasure of taking private Pilates sessions at Island Pilates, and it was truly one of the highlights of my trip.
The studio is beautiful, spotless, and incredibly welcoming - a calm, thoughtfully designed space where you can really focus and unwind. Liz is amazing: warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. She personalizes every session to your needs and goals, carefully watching your form and making small adjustments that make a big difference. You can feel how much she cares about her clients’ progress and overall wellbeing.
The location is also very convenient, making it easy to fit sessions into a busy holiday schedule. I can’t recommend Island Pilates and Liz enough!

Liz at Island Pilates is amazing! She kicks my ass every single session in the best way possible! Her workouts are challenging, motivating, and always leave me feeling stronger and accomplished. I walk out knowing I’ve had a great workout—and I definitely feel it the next day! She also mixes in TRX which keeps things fresh and fun. On top of that, Liz is such a lovely, encouraging person. Highly recommend her if you want results and positive energy in every class!

I can’t recommend Liz enough. She’s super friendly, welcoming, and made me feel totally comfortable right from the start — even when I had no clue what I was doing in the beginning!
One of the best things about her classes is the variety. Every session is different, so it never gets boring. She keeps things interesting with new moves, different equipment, and fun ways to challenge your body without it feeling overwhelming.
I started noticing real results pretty quickly. She really knows how to push you in the best way, while still making it feel enjoyable and doable.
She’s great at adapting the class to fit everyone’s needs, whether you’re a beginner or more experienced. Her instructions are clear, her energy is super positive, and you can tell she genuinely cares about helping you feel and look your best.
If you're thinking about trying Pilates or looking for a new instructor, I honestly can’t say enough good things about Liz. She’s amazing!

Liz is a really excellent teacher - we spent a few weeks training with her on our last trip to Barbados - she tailored sessions to our individual levels and really improved our strength and flexibility.

Pilates is incredibly effective for improving flexibility, strength, and overall body awareness, offering a low-impact yet highly impactful workout that can benefit people of all fitness levels. The instructor, Liz, is truly outstanding—she is attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about guiding her clients with precision and encouragement. Her focus on proper form and targeted muscle engagement ensures that each session is safe, productive, and tailored to individual needs/goals. Thanks to her expertise, I've seen noticeable improvements in my posture, core strength, and overall well-being.
Prioritizing Pilates has been very rewarding and I highly recommend and encourage you to try training with Liz! I genuinely believe it’ll be a transformative experience.
