An outstanding tour guide! Janeel was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, providing fascinating insights into the local history, culture, and landmarks. He also took amazing photos and made sure I had a great experience throughout the tour. His professionalism and warm personality made the experience truly memorable. Overall, a fantastic service. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely fantastic 5.5-hour island tour of St. Kitts with Janeel Boon through Tours by Locals, and we give it 5 stars from start to finish! Janeel greeted us so warmly and completely surprised us by decorating his van with messages celebrating our 20-year wedding anniversary. It was such a thoughtful and personal touch that immediately made the day feel special. Throughout the tour, Janeel was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about St. Kitts. You could tell how proud he is of his home country and its people. As we drove through downtown Basseterre, he shared the history of the island, including its connection to slavery, while also pointing out landmarks, architecture, and details about the local culture. Along the drive, he showed us different fruit trees growing around the island and even stopped to get fresh mangoes for us to try. They were delicious! One of the highlights was Janeel’s personal tour of Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, where we also stopped for lunch with breathtaking views. Lunch was not included in the tour price, but it was absolutely worth it and one of our favorite parts of the day. Other memorable stops included the Old Road Rum Distillery, the beautiful Caribelle Batik Botanical Gardens with its incredible 400-year-old tree, and Black Rocks, where we enjoyed stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. A true hidden gem of the tour was our stop at City Shine Rum Distillery — somewhere we never would have discovered on our own. We met the owner, Jack, and a bartender whose name I unfortunately can’t remember, and they made us feel like family. Jack’s passion for his rum was infectious, and the rum itself was fantastic with so many unique varieties. We wish them continued success with their growing business! Our final stop was the overlook at the southern end of St. Kitts for one last incredible photo opportunity and panoramic view of the island. Overall, this was an amazing experience that we highly recommend. We had wonderful conversations, learned so much about St. Kitts, and truly enjoyed every minute of the day. Thank you, Janeel, for making our anniversary trip so memorable!

JB Taxi & Excursions was fabulous for our Wingfield Rainforest & Romney experience. Janeel provided the best level of patience and assistance for our group of hikers with varied levels of experience, comfort and ability. Their Hyundai van appeared to have just rolled out of the showroom and had super A/C. They checked every box including preparation, refreshments and facilities for cleaning up after the hike.

Janeel is an amazing guide. He picked us up at our hotel and told us about the different areas as we drove to our hiking destination. We did the 2 hr hike and Janeel adjusted the pace and route to accommodate our six year old. Janeel was an incredibly knowledgeable and excellent guide. We were also able to tour the botanical gardens and have a rum tasting.

THE BEST GUIDES FOR HIKING MT LIAMUIGA! Hands down. (We saw a few other groups… so… book with JB Taxi and Excursions!) That was a tough hike, but would do it again just to spend more time with Janeel and EJ! They are very passionate about what they do and strive for safety, quality, and excellence. They were kind and motivating, especially when the hiking got tough! Very knowledgeable of the hike, the island, and the area. Any venture with them will be unforgettable and exciting!
