Smooth flight in from Antigua flying on SVG Air. We took the twin otter which holds 17 people. Fifteen minutes from Antigua. Be sure to lookup the Montserrat immigration online arrival form before your trip to save you some time in the line upon arrival. Airport has bathroom facilities and a few shops across the street for souvenirs and food and drinks and car rentals as well.

Flying, the 36 miles from Antigua to the place of my birth Montserrat, was an... experience. As we prepared for takeoff, my family and I sat intimately, side by side, one behind the other, in a snug 8 seater, chartered piston prop aircraft. I was sat so close behind the pilot, I could hear her every breath - if it wasn't for the roar of the plane's engines. But all went well, and as we touched down the pilot could hear our jubilant cheers - She turned off the engine, turned, and smiled. The whole crew were very friendly and very helpful, supporting my 83 year old mother and us disembark. We had arrived at the penultima part of our outward journey, Gerald's Airport, Montserrat.

Tiniest little airport! But Monserrat population is five thousand! 6 seater planes via Air Monserrat and SVG from Antigua. Parking opposite. Souvenir store for magnets and postcards etc. also a hair salon. Lovely people. If you hear “Good afternoon” they mean you! No atm. Airport tax was £30. And Covid test on arrival 150 XCD. No taxis. Pre book car hire. Temporary license for three months is 50XCD payable at customs when you land.

Nothing really great bad to say, just a tiny airport with a small bar and AC inside the terminal.
