Great budget option if you want to be in this area. The supermarket across the street is huge perk. Fantastic views from semi private balcony so make sure you select a room with a balcony. The staff are very responsive if there is an issue.

I can see reviews that are low a year ago. My experience was excellent. I stayed with a group of 6 in the jolly castle hotel in July 2025. We had no problems rooms were clean and newly decorated. The service from Aylsia was excellent. She attended to our questions promptly for hairdryer and clothes rack.
This hotel has steps to the rooms and was advised by Aylsia as not suitable for people with disability in using steps.
The hotel is 5mins walk to jolly beach which is quite, clean and no seaweed superb beach with warm water upto late evening and early mornings.
I highly recommend this hotel it's value for money.

My experience is with the shop and local restaurant downstairs. Great local lunches daily and always lots of selection. Sells out fast as it is truly tasty

I had great company during my stay here so I would’ve been okay being anywhere, but on our third night we had a bug infestation. I was killing so many and it felt like they were spawning. They did move us but the man seemed really grumpy with the fact they were moving us.
No hot water.
Our shower in the second room was nice but our drain cover was sticking up and it was metal so we could’ve easily cut our toes.
Overall we enjoyed our stay there and I never felt unsafe in the area

Unbelievably terrible experience from the get go. After paying for the room and a shuttle from the airport, I am not met with a pickup and once arrived I am met with a completely closed hotel.
We had discussed flight times and check in times and paid upfront.
After calling the number on the door with a borrowed phone from the taxi (luckily he didn’t leave immediately), I get some random person who says the hotel person forgot their phone..and to call another. After calling that one 4 times I get someone who is also not part of the hotel. After this back and forth for 30 minutes the handyman Carlos who has been downstairs the whole time shows up.
He says my room was “given to someone else” and he didn’t know I was coming. So another 20 minutes waiting for that to be sorted out.
Still nothing from hotel staff..it’s getting dark and the whole place is closed.
Don’t make the mistake of staying here.
