Booked this tour during our recent cruise. The description on the Virgin app wasn’t accurate at all. First of all to get on the boat they backed it up to the beach and we had to climb on as quickly as possible in between waves. We had several people in our group that had wrist issues and were not supposed to put that much weight on their wrists. It would have been nice to be warned that there was not dock boarding. It took a long time to get everyone on the boats since only so many could board before the boat was pushed out to far by the waves. Then we were just waiting for them to be able to bring the boat back in. This didn’t leave much time for the actual sea turtles and ship wreck.
The MAJOR disappointment was that we were told that snorkeling equipment was provided. We had probably 6 people on board that had went ahead and brought/used their own. I have equipment it didn’t bring it since it “was provided”. They did not have any fins on board at all…. Okay, whatever. All the other snorkeling excursions I’ve done have always included fins, but I can live without them. Then they handed out the mask. Only mask! Even with the 6 people who brought their own equipment, there was still a dozen of us that didn’t get snorkels. No snorkels for a SNORKELING excursion😳. The area they dropped us off for the turtles was deep. Without the snorkels it was almost impossible to tell if there was any turtles in the water. I had to constantly take my face out of the water to take a breath. This made it extremely difficult to watch any shadows in the water and figure out if they were a turtle. I ended up just recording a video with my phone the entire time to see if I could record one. I do believe I caught one on tape (see the screenshot), but I didn’t notice it while in the water as breathing took up so much time and attention. Plus every time I took my face out of the water to breathe I was taking in a tiny bit of salt water. By the time they had us head back to the boat for the next part of the tour, the salt water was making me feel sick. I’ve never had issues with that before because I was able to relax and breathe through a snorkel.
Their excuse for not having the equipment they charged us to use? “The tour this morning dropped a bunch of them and no body said anything!” 1 or 2 missing snorkels, maybe🤷🏻♀️. But they were missing probably 18 snorkels. That DID NOT happen in one tour. I AM NOT a fan of being lied to. We were charged $140 each for this tour and it was a complete disaster!
I only give 2 stars because they did feed the fish in the ship wreck area and got a big school of fish to come to eat.

Parked over by Savvy on the Bay and walked through. No front or second row chairs so we continued on down the beach. Stumbled upon this hidden gem. The chairs aren’t as new as the other places but we sat right up front, the staff was super friendly, the food was delicious and much quicker than other places (I got a chicken wrap and my friends got the kid tenders). Daily drink specials. (We there there on Saturday 2-for-1 rum punch and honestly the best one we had during our whole trip). Restrooms and showers were 100x better than savvy (we were there the day before).

We had an absolutely amazing snorkeling trip with Lazy Lizard in Carlisle Bay! The beach is stunning, and having access to the loungers made it even more relaxing. The bar and food were great, and the whole place had such a fun and welcoming vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and made sure we had the best time. Thank you, Lazy Lizard, for an unforgettable experience—our group of 14 girls had a blast! Highly recommend!

I've spent one week in Barbados, on my own and must confess when I left it felt a bit daunting.
The bar staff are absolutely amazing, always smiling and friendly. Food is amazing, a great selection of fresh fish dishes, which I absolutely loved. Amazing variety of cocktails, just for you to be brave enough to try- tried their own signature cocktail and that was a statement 😀.
Dex was extremely helpful throughout my stay, showed me around the area and even encouraged me to take the boat trip to do snorkelling. That was an amazing experience. I didn't think that is something I would ever do! Highly recommend this to all families with kids. Boat staff very knowledgeable about the island and fun to talk to.
The owner is an amazing individual-He's always been around if I needed help with info about the city &property development in the area. If you need any information about Barbados he will be the person to talk to. Liked the business model 😁. Please see attached picture 😆
Overall, I felt safe and secured . This allowed me just to be myself and enjoy my time in Barbados.
