My experience at Oro was pure gold, and the perfect happy ending to my stay at O2. You are wowed as soon as you step off the elevator. I was struck by the decor which is just beautiful, the touches of gold and velvet give a very royal feel and rightly so. I also appreciated the novelty of enjoying high rise dining in Barbados where the beach is always the star. The food was fresh and flavorful and the bar kept the drinks coming. Our sever was also perfectly attentive and lots of fun. The night was made even more delightful by the sweet crooning from the soloist on keyboard. Oro seems to be a well kept secret, though I doubt for very much longer. Highly recommended.

I had the Surf & Turf. Lobster was hard and chewy, filet mignon was also disappointing. The other restaurants on property were fine, especially the breakfast buffet. Avoid, especially if you’re paying outside of the all inclusive package.

It was stunning: Food, service and location! We had a fantastic evening up there together with our two children. Staff is very friendly, also with kids!

I had high hopes for Oro considering how great our stay at O2 was, but this restaurant offered some of the worst foods I can safely say I've ever experienced in Barbados. Not for lack of imagination in the menu--you have all your high-end offerings such as duck, lobster, fillet mignon but all of it was so poorly cooked, lacking flavour and just so dry. The duck fat wasn't rendered properly leading to an extremely dry duck, the lobster was rubbery and lacking any flavour and the fillet wasn't cooked to temperature and even so, it also lacked flavour. Regarding service, on entry we were met with a rather impersonal and stoic hostess and ushered to a truly beautiful restaurant with a high floor and sweeping views of the ocean (not all that nice as it is a dinner restaurant mostly). The decor is stylish and trendy and feels upscale. Service from the waiter was also slow and impersonal. All around, not a spot I would recommend.

From the entrance to the restaurant, the greetings were warm, the food and drinks were delicious, and the presentation was spectacular. The atmosphere was, in my view, romantic, especially at night.
