I had an incredible stay at Residence Royal From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome—they were truly amazing and attentive the entire time. The atmosphere of the place is beautiful, filled with stunning artwork and incredible wooden Native statues that look like they were carved with so much care and detail.
One of my favorite things was the food. The goat meat was absolutely the best I’ve ever had in Haiti perfectly seasoned and the unforgettable. The side bar was also a great place to relax and enjoy the vibe.
Traveling with my son, the pool was a huge highlight for us. It was very clean, safe, and conveniently located, which made it easy for us to relax while he enjoyed swimming. The views from the hotel were breathtaking too, especially the mountains surrounding the property—it felt peaceful and truly special.
Room service was a solid 10/10, always quick and professional. Overall, the entire experience felt warm, welcoming, and memorable. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Okap!

Staff and service were friendly, helpful and very accommodating; they made sure that the beds were turned and the room cleaned each day. Phenomenal rustic mountainous setting surrounds this majestic hotel built upon towering walls of hand-laid stones. The free breakfast was a very good bonus and delicious, the food from the restaurant was good too. The open air dining, bar and lounge area was very guest friendly. The rooms were private, spacious and nice with comfortable beds and a smart tv in each room, The bathrooms were a little too small with some needing more attention to the plumbing. The hotel had a beautiful pool but it was dirty, the WiFi was not the greatest and even though the hotel itself was hard and expensive to get to and from, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

This is a great place. Very quite. The location is great except the road is a little rocky. I will always recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff are great. The management, the receptionist, security guys, the food. I didn't have to worry about swiping my card to different company for car rental. They are in cooperation with New Look Rent-A-Car. I was charged by one company for both the hotel and the car that I rented. I only hoped to find more channels, especially the sports. Overall, I can tell you this is one of the best hotels in Cap-Haitien. Thank you.

From August 16th to the 21st , my family and I took a trip to Cap Haitian , Haiti. We decided to stay at Residence Royale hotel. At first notice the vicinity lacked signs directing you to its location. Furthermore the roads leading up to it isn’t paved and slants on a hill. But what was most disappointing was the conditioning of the hotel. They lacked proper maintenance, the pool was dirty , the pipes seemed old and rusted cause at times we got dirty water. Sometimes we didn’t even get water( we had to wait for the truck of water) or the water came too slow through the pipes and we had to shower with a bucket. To say the least they kept changing our rooms cause something was always broken or not functioning(ex: toilet, shower , air conditioning , fridge, TV and more). Let me make this clear Cap Haitian has its perks and the people just come off innately friendly and personable. But this hotel was not it, the owner seemed cheap and lacked management skills. Even electricity was turned on at night only when we came through the front desk. The lack of customers here should of told us something. Avoid at all cost! Not worth your money!

What makes this place different from other hotels in Cap Haitien is the hospitality and attitude of the staff. They are impeccable and always nice
