Rihanna’s Childhood Home
Robyn Fenty was born in Barbados. From the ages of five to 16, she lived in this humble bungalow on Westbury New Road with her parents and siblings (two brothers, two half-sisters and a half-brother). She moved to the United States in 2005. Since then, Rihanna has become a major recording success and sold over 250 million records. To honor their native daughter, Barbados renamed this street Rihanna Drive in 2017.

Really easy to miss. It’s been done up nicely and apparently is now used as an Airbnb which is probably annoying to stay at considering the amount of people this attracts.
It would have been nice if they left it as it was and made it a heritage site instead but it was cool to see where she grew up.

You can see Rihanna’s home from the outside. Tourism started to negatively affect the neighborhood I’d say and there are bars and restaurants playing very loud music. I wouldn’t imagine a normal neighborhood in Barbados would’ve had this normally.

The bar just across the street is perfect to chill out and have local overpriced beer. Besides that it’s just a regular house.

Real easy visit. Can pull right over on the side of the road. Jump out take a picture. People complain it’s “just the house” but I’m not sure what they are expecting when they get there?
Locals across the street at the bar.
Go to Empty Bottles and meet Passa for drinks at his bar. Amazing. Best customer service. Best part of our trip! Bathrooms and drinks AND FOOD.

This is amazing and im so happy I got to come here and sit and experience the excitement of this neighborhood..she came from a koo place and i would definitely be finding a house on this street when I move here. It was so cool to just be infront of it. I didn't even have to meet or see her.
