Sahani - Nuru Patterson is a gem! Her Swahili Fishcakes are bursting with authentic flavors—crispy outside, tender inside. Order from the West Coast; delivery is seamless. Nuru’s passion shines through; she’s as amazing as her food. 5 stars!

We bumped into Nuru one morning during our morning walk near Jujus as she finished her morning swim. I spoke to her in Kiswahili which is spoken in Kenya as she looked Swahili. She hasn’t spoken to anyone in Kiswahili for many years and just a Kiswahili greeting brought tears to her eyes.
She explained that she made Swahili fish cakes which we wouldn’t eat as we are all vegetarians. She said she wanted us to taste her food and said she would drop some food over to ours. We had asked for just a small taster as we were heading out for dinner.
What she brought was a vegan Swahili feast. Each of the dishes was delicately spiced and was very authentic in taste and reminded us all of our life on the coast in Kenya. The food was delicious and the each dish was cooked to perfection from the heart.
We had to cancel our dinner reservations and there is still plenty left for today!
Asante Sana Nuru

Absolutely delicious, you don’t just get the homemade fish cake which were lovely and crispy but a nice little cucumber salad and separate sauce all very well presented and packaged. Highly impressed 😋
